Monterey Starter Fertilizer 10-0-0

Monterey Starter Fertilizer 10-0-0, manufactured by Monterey, is an excellent liquid fertilizer that is specially formulated to provide ornamentals, vegetables, and bedding plants with strong roots and healthy growth. 

Made with a 10-0-0 npk nutrient formulation, this product will give foliage the energy it needs to produce lush, green plants. Nitrogen is essential for chlorophyll production, enabling plants to do photosynthesis. This is particularly important during the development stages of foliage, when stems, leaves, and flowers are growing rapidly. 

Monterey Starter Fertilizer 10-0-0 quickly corrects nitrogen deficiencies, restoring lush, green growth. The high nitrogen content also helps support the development of healthy foliage in trees and shrubs, which helps these plants absorb sunlight and grow vigorously. It also contains calcium, which plays a vital role in plants responding better to environmental conditions and preventing blossom end rot in tomatoes.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Monterey Starter Fertilizer 10-0-0 to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To prevent and alleviate blossom end rot, apply 2 Tbs. of Monterey Starter Fertilizer 10-0-0 every 2 weeks by foliar application. For lawns/turf, use 2 Tbsp. per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the selected sprayer container with half the amount of water and the proper amount of fertilizer. Lastly, pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed. 
• Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For soil treatments, spray the product across the soil surface. Do not water for at least 24 hours to avoid washing off fertilizer. 

Where to Use

Monterey Starter Fertilizer 10-0-0 can be used for gardens, ornamentals, all bedding plants, lawns, trees, shrubs, vegetables, and fruit trees. 

Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches.

When to Use

Apply early in the morning or late in the evening when plants are actively growing. 

Do not apply if heavy rain is expected.

Special Considerations

Adding more than the recommended rate may burn plants. Do not use spraying devices that have been used with herbicides unless thoroughly cleaned.
