Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer
Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer is a professional non-selective post-emergent herbicide that effectively eliminates grassy and broadleaf weeds around residential, industrial, and institutional areas. *Formerly known as Monterey Remuda Full Strength.*
01/10/26
Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer, manufactured by Monterey, is a unique non-selective post-emergent herbicide that is specially formulated with a surfactant to stop a wide range of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds.
This emulsifiable concentrate combination of a post-emergent herbicide and surfactant provides complete weed control within 2 to 4 days.
Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer will kill numerous emerged weeds such as nutsedge all the way to its root with its commonly used active ingredient glyphosate 41.0%.
Tools Needed
Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer or a knapsack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For control of annual weeds listed on this label, apply a 0.5% solution of Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer to weeds less than 6 inches in height or runner length. For a 0.5% solution, use 2/3 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water. For annual weeds over 6 inches tall, use a 1% solution. To create this solution, mix 1-1/3 fl. oz. of product with 1 gallon of water. For best results, use a 2% solution on harder-to-control perennials, apply 2-2/3 fl. oz. of product with 1 gallon of water. For specific application rates, refer to the product label.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer, then add in the remaining half of water. Close the sprayer tank lid and shake until it is completely dissolved.
- Step 3: Adjust the sprayer to deliver a fine mist across the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Wait until 24 hours have passed before watering treated areas. Allow the plant to reach the recommended stage of growth before retreatment. Allow 7 or more days before tillage.
Where to Use
Monterey Remuda Weed & Grass Killer can be used on non-planted areas around residential, industrial, institutional areas and their immediate vicinity.
When to Use
Apply Monterey Remuda when weeds are less than 6 inches high and actively growing. Rainfall or irrigation occurring within 6 hours after application may reduce effectiveness. Heavy rainfall or irrigation within 2 hours after application may wash the chemical off the foliage and a repeat treatment may be required.
Safety Information
Monterey Remuda is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets of treated areas until spray solution has dried.
Special Considerations
Reduced control may result when applications are made to annual or perennial weeds that have been mowed, grazed, or cut, and have not been allowed to regrow to the recommended stage for treatment.
This is formerly known as Monterey Remuda Full Strength. It is an updated name and label, but the same great product.
