Monterey Mite & Insect Control enables homeowners to easily control and prevent pests due to its long-term residual effects. Its 6 week chemical barrier outdoors and 4 month barrier indoors prevents consistent reapplication, which conserves time and cost. 

Tools Needed

To apply Monterey Mite & Insect Control, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer. 

Food utensils such as spoons and measuring cups can be used, but must not be used for food purposes after use with this product.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Monterey Mite & Insect Control to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To treat lawns, vegetable gardens, melons, fruits, and around foundations of homes use 1.5 fl. oz. of Monterey Mite & Insect Control per gallon of water per 125 sq. ft. with a tank type sprayer. To control carpenter ants spray 1.5 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water per 65 sq. ft. For indoor treatments, use 16 fl. oz. of product with 82 fl. oz. of clean tap water. Refer the label for specific application rates. 
• Step 2: To mix in tank spraying equipment like handheld sprayer pumps simply pour half the amount of water. Then add the proper amount of Monterey Mite & Insect Control and remaining half of water. Mix thoroughly until dissolved. For hose-end sprayer applications, connect sprayer to hose and set the dial to 1.5 fl. oz.
• Step 3: Point the nozzle in the direction you want to spray, and thoroughly treat the area. Thoroughly wet down grass a few hours before application on lawns. Do not spray to the point of runoff. For indoor applications, only treat as a crack and crevice treatment or as a spot application. 

Where to Use

Monterey Mite & Insect Control can be used for residential areas such as lawns, trees, shrubs, roses, flowers, fruit trees, ornamentals, around doghouses and fenced dog runs, and around house foundations. 

Indoors, this product may be used for home surfaces including On floors, floor coverings (rugs, carpets, tile, vinyl & wood) and baseboards • In cupboards, pantries, garages, basements or attics • Around and under sinks, cabinets, stoves, refrigerators, and plumbing • In cracks and crevices in walls.

When to Use

Use Monterey Mite & Insect Control when you first notice pest activity or wish to keep them away from your property. 

For applications outdoors, be sure not to make them when rainfall is expected for the next 24 hours.

Applications should be made at temperatures between 50 degrees Fahrenheit and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray in the early morning or late afternoon when it is cooler, if temperatures will exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Avoid treatments on lawns when they are taller than 3 inches.

Safety Information

Monterey Mite & Insect Control is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not allow people and pets into the treated area until spray has dried.

Special Considerations

Mosquitoes coming to rest on treated areas will be killed for varying periods of time after application, depending on exposure of treated areas to weathering conditions.
