09/08/25
Monterey Fungi-Max, manufactured by Monterey, is an indispensable multi-purpose fungicide that offers complete do-it-yourself disease control and protects plants from harmful diseases for up to 2 weeks.
Experience complete ornamental, lawn, fruit tree, nut tree, vegetable, and other plant recovery preventively with this systemic fungicide. Its systemic action ensures Monterey Fungi-Max moves through the plant's internal structure, providing longer-lasting protection from the roots to the leaves.
Monterey Fungi-Max contains the active ingredient Myclobutanil 2.0%, which is highly effective against common diseases such as anthracnose, dollar spot, brown patch, and more making this product an all-in-one solution. With correct application and regular use, this product creates a long-lasting shield against fungal threats, promoting healthier and more resilient plants.
Tools Needed
Only use hose-end sprayers for broadcast lawn applications. For application to individual plants and lawn spot treatment only use a handheld pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Monterey Fungi-Max to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For lawns, apply 2 2/3 fl. oz. of Monterey Fungi-Max with a half gallon of water to treat 250 sq. ft. To treat ornamentals, use 3/4 fl. oz. of product with 1 gallon of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. Do not apply more than 13 treatments per year.
- Step 2: To mix in a handheld pump sprayer, you will need to fill it with half the amount of water. Then add in the proper amount of product and the remaining half of the water. Shake the tank well to ensure it is completely mixed. For a hose-end sprayer, only add in the product and then spray until the correct amount of water is mixed in.
- Step 3: To treat a lawn, start at the farthest point to be treated and work backward so you don’t walk over the treated area. Walk at a steady pace and spray using side-to-side (arc) motion, slightly overlapping the treated area. To treat ornamental plants, spray the top and bottom of the foliage leaves to the point when the spray begins to run off the leaves. For fruit and nut trees, berries, vegetables, and stone fruits apply to all parts of the plant to the point of runoff. Allow spray to dry before watering.
Where to Use
Monterey Fungi-Max can be used on ornamentals, lawns, fruit and nut trees, berries (blackberry, raspberry, loganberry, currant, gooseberry, grapes, peppermint, and spearmint), stone fruits, and listed vegetables.
When to Use
This product is highly effective when it is used to prevent diseases or applied at the first sign of disease. Start treating when the grass begins to turn green in the spring, for ornaments make applications throughout the season, or when signs of diseases are first noticed. For best disease control, treat every 2 weeks.
Apply to the lawn after mowing, or allow the area sprayed to dry completely prior to mowing.
Treat roses on a 7 to 10-day schedule. If black spot is not a problem, a 10 to 14-day schedule is recommended.
Do not treat lawns or plants during periods of stress or when temperatures are above 85 degrees Fahrenheit as injury to plants can occur.
Safety Information
Monterey Fungi-Max is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep pets and people other than the applicator off treated areas until the spray has dried.
