Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Drench

Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Drench, manufactured by Monterey, is a effective soil drench insecticide that controls common fruit, vegetable, and citrus plants against common pests with one application for the entire year. 

Formulated with the active ingredient imidicloprid 0.235%, this emulsifiable concentrate will work to eliminate pests like aphids, cucumber beetles, and thrips. Once absorbed, this product will move through the plant, including new growth for year-long insect protection.

Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Drench is a long-lasting insecticide that ensures total insect protection against a broad-spectrum of pests as the ingredient is present in parts of the plant, including the leaves, stems, and fruits. 

Tools Needed

You will need to use a bucket, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer. 

How to Use

• Step 1: To find out how much Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Drench to use for vegetables you will need to measure the square footage. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together. For trees use the following formula: Measure the distance (radius) from the tree trunk to the drip line, and round down to the nearest foot. The drip line is the outer edge of the foliage. 32 oz. of Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Drench will cover 640 sq. ft. of vegetables. For listed stone fruit and pome fruit, use 1 oz. of product per 1 gallon of water for a distance of 3 feet from trunk to dripline. Refer the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
• Step 2: Fill your mixing container with half the amount of water, add in the proper ratio of Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Drench, then pour in the remaining half of water. Stir or shake the solution until well-mixed.
• Step 3: Pour the mixture evenly onto the ground around the base of the tree and plant. Follow by pouring another gallon of water around the base of the tree.

Where to Use

Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Drench can be used around listed fruit and nut trees, including citrus, apple, peach, cherry, and plum; and on listed vegetables, including tomatoes, carrots, peppers, melons, cucumbers, herbs; and on listed berries including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and grapes. 

Do not apply this product, by any application method to linden, basswood, or other Tilia species.

When to Use

Use Monterey Fruit Tree & Vegetable Drench once a year on days when weather is calm and rainfall is not expected to occur for the next 24 hours after application. 

For vegetables and herbs, apply at the time of transplant, or shortly after seedling emergence to prevent insect infestation.

Keep children and pets out of treated areas until the sprays have dried.
