No application tools are necessary, as this pond dye can be poured directly from the container. You may also apply it with a bucket or backpack sprayer. 

How to Use

• Step 1: To calculate acre-feet, measure the length, width, and average depths of the body of water within the treated area. Then, follow the formula to determine the acre-feet (Length (ft) x Width (ft) x Average Depth (ft) / 43,560 = Acre-feet). Apply at the rate of 1 quart of Monterey Dark Blue Pond Dye per 1 surface acre of water 4-6 feet deep, depending on the darkness of water desired.
• Step 2: After measuring the pond or lake and calculating the amount needed, add approximately half that dosage to several parts of the lake or pond to ensure even dispersion. After half the dosage is incorporated, add the balance of colorant until the desired color is achieved.

Where to Use

Ponds, lakes, fountains, and lagoons may be treated. 

Do not apply to streams, rivers, or ponds not under the control of the user.

When to Use

Use this dark blue pond dye anytime as long as water bodies are not frozen.

Monterey Dark Blue Pond Dye is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.

Once dispersed, this product will not disrupt fishing, swimming, or irrigation. However, do not swim, fish, or irrigate from ponds treated with Monterey Dark Blue Pond Dye until the product has thoroughly dispersed.
