MistAway HMI Boards for Gen 1 EFA
MistAway HMI Boards for Gen 1 EFA
The MistAway HMI Board is a replacement part for the MistAway Gen 1 EFA Mosquito Misting System. HMI stands for Human Machine Interface and is an important component to allow people to control the functions of the Mistaway Gen 1 System and program it to their liking. If your MistAway controller is not responding well or completely stops working, replacing the HMI board may help to restore the system back to its original condition.
Tools Needed
To install the HMI Board, you will need the MistAway Gen 1 EFA and a screwdriver to open up the system and access the interior controller of the unit.
How to Use
- Step 1: Use the screwdriver to undo the controller and reposition the shroud so you can get into the system.
- Step 2: Find the small screws that secure the old HMI board and undo them to release it. You will also have to carefully snap off the ribbon connected to the ribbon port.
- Step 3: Replace with the new HMI board, tightly screwing it in place and snapping the ribbon portion into the port.
- Step 4: Reassemble the Misting unit and then test the system to make sure it is working properly.
Where to Use
The MistAway HMI Board is part of the front circuit board assembly of the Mistaway Gen 1 EFA Unit.
When to Use
Replace the HMI Board when there is an issue with the misting system controller and it is not functioning properly or is not responding at all.
Safety Information
This product is safe and easy to install. Make sure the MistAway Gen 1 unit is powered off completely before installing the HMI Board.
Special Considerations
The HMI Board is only for the Gen 1 EFA Unit and will not work with other Gen units like the Gen II and III+.
