The Mineral Oil Drum contains non-odorous mineral oil that acts as a solvent for pesticidal mixing solutions, typically used with mosquito adulticides for ULV and thermal fogging.
Tools Needed
In order to get the proper amount of mineral oil needed for your ULV solution, you will need a drum wrench and a siphon tube.
How to Use
- Step 1: Be sure to follow labeled directions of your chosen adulticide prior to mixing this oil into the solution. Use a siphon tube and collect the required amount of mineral oil for your spray. Typically, you will mix 1 part active to 9 parts of oil.
- Step 2: Add the mineral oil to your tank mix and thoroughly mix into the solution.
Where to Use
Use mineral oil drum where it is safe to use alongside any thermal ULV fogging. Always read the label and SDS of any solvent and pesticide before applying.
When to Use
Use this when fogging and ULV spraying that will need the assistance of a solvent.
Safety Information
Be sure to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including protective eyewear, clothing, gloves, and respirators. Do not apply this with an adulticide in a manner that it can drift or come into direct contact with people and pets.
Special Considerations
It is possible that mineral oil can cause phytotoxicity in some plants. Always take extra care when spraying around desirable vegetation.
