04/02/26
Maxforce Granular Fly Bait, manufactured by Bayer Environmental Sciences, is an impressive granular insecticide bait for controlling flies' infestations. This fly bait contains four powerful attractants combined with imidacloprid, a non-repellent active ingredient that works rapidly against flies.
Versatile in its fly bait application, this granular fly bait can be applied as a broadcast treatment by placing it within bait stations or dissolving it in water to paint on surfaces that fly consistently.
MaxForce Granular Fly Bait is easy to apply and can stay effective in controlling flies for up to 30 days, offering long-lasting fly bait control.
Tools Needed
You don't need any tools, as they can easily be sprinkled onto surfaces directly from the container, but you could use a hand spreader if you wish.
How to Use
- Step 1: Observe and note the areas where you have noticed fly activity, and then calculate the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). The use rate for Maxforce Granular Fly Bait is 5.7 to 6.3 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. For example, if you measured a 1,500 sq. ft. area to treat, you would need 8.55 to 9.45 oz. of product to cover the area sufficiently.
- Step 2: Begin scattering the bait directly from the container onto dry surfaces. Alternatively, you can place the granular fly back in a bait station. Input a small amount of bait, around 1.6 oz, in each station. Secure them 4 feet above the ground to keep animals, children, and pets away from the bait.
- Step 3: Lastly, you can paint the application onto surfaces by mixing a small amount of 1.5 oz. of bait with 1 fl oz of warm water and stirring, then using a brush to paint where the flies rest.
- Step 4: Reapply every 7 days until flies are no longer infesting.
Where to Use
Maxforce Granular Fly Bait should be applied anywhere you have seen flies gather, such as Livestock Facilities and stables, warehouses, dumpsters, recycling areas, and outside non-food contact areas of restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, grease pits, or loading docks. Focus application on dry surfaces outside of structures, try to create an even band, and avoid making piles.
When to Use
Apply whenever you encounter an infestation of flies—time applications begin at the start of the season before fly populations peak.
Safety Information
Maxforce Fly Bait is safe to use around pets and children when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.
Keep children and pets off of treated surfaces until dry. Maxforce Granular Fly Bait also contains a Bitrex bittering agent to help prevent accidental ingestion by children and pets.

For areas where granular bait is not as effective, you can use the liquid version of the product, Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait.
