Maxforce Granular Fly Bait, manufactured by Bayer Environmental Sciences, is an impressive granular insecticide bait for controlling infestations of flies. This fly bait contains four powerful attractants combined with imidacloprid, a non-repellent active ingredient which works rapidly against flies.

Versatile in its fly bait application as this granular fly bait can be applied as a broadcast treatment, by placing within bait stations, or dissolving it in water to paint on surfaces that flies consistently land on.

MaxForce Granular Fly Bait is easy to apply and can stay effective in controlling flies for up to 30 days where applied offering long-lasting fly bait control.

Tools Needed

To use Maxforce Granular Fly Bait, you don't need any tools as it can easily be sprinkled onto surfaces directly from the container but if you wish you could use a hand spreader.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Observe and note the areas where you have noticed fly activity and then calculate the size of the area you would like to treat. To do this, you will need to measure (in feet) and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). The use rate for Maxforce Granular Fly Bait is 5.7 to 6.3 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. So for example, if you measured a 1,500 sq. ft. area to treat, you would need 8.55 to 9.45 oz. of product to cover the area sufficiently.
  • Step 2: Begin to scatter the bait directly from the container onto dry surfaces. Alternatively, you can place the granular fly back in a bait station. Input a small amount of bait, around 1.6 oz in each station. Secure them 4 feet above the ground to keep animals, children and pets away from the bait.
  • Step 3: Lastly, you can paint the application onto surfaces by mixing a small amount of bait (1.5 oz.) with 1 fl oz of warm water and stir then use a brush to paint where flies rest.
  • Step 4: Reapply every 7 days until flies are no longer infesting.

Where to Use

Maxforce Granular Fly Bait should be applied anywhere you have seen flies gather such as Livestock Facilities and stables, warehouses, dumpsters, recycling areas, and outside non-food contact areas of restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, grease pits or loading docks. Focus application on dry surfaces outside of structures and try to create an even band and avoid making piles.

When to Use

Use Maxforce Granular Fly Bait whenever you are encountering an infestation of flies. Time applications to begin at the start of the season before fly populations reach their peak.

Safety Information

Maxforce Fly Bait is safe to use around pets and kids. Keep them off of treated surfaces until dry. Maxforce Granular Fly Bait also contains Bitrex bittering agent to help prevent accidental ingestion by children and pets.

Special Considerations

For areas where granular bait is not as effective, you can use the liquid version of the product known as Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait.

The best fly killer out there
My husband was looking for fly bait and came across MAXFORCE and read the reviews which were all 5's. Hesitant to buy because nothing seems to work, we went ahead and bought MAXFORCE to give it another shot! WOW to our surprise, it actually worked my husband and I saw for ourselves the flies dying before our eyes. Now placement of MAXFORCE is very important, because the flies are attracted to it. So place where you want flies to go, not where the flies are - if that make sense. Highly recommend MAXFORCE and worth every penny it cost. We will be buying the granules because it will get deep into the rocks where the flies are hatching they eggs. Hope this review helps!

Where did they go?
We used Maxforce granular with the fly bait stations on our patio for safty reasons. We have animals and grandchildren and didn't want to use a spray. The flies have all but disappeared. We have two outside dogs who were covered with flies and now they lay out and NO flies at all. I was skepital at first but now a firm believer. This is an AMAZING produce and safe to use this way.

haven' killed one yet
We are near a river and for some reason have more flies than a summer picnic. We bought the bait and bait stations. Not a single fly has entered the bait station and we hung them about a month ago. The only flies we killed with this product was when they were swarming our trash can I dumped some onto the rind of a watermelon and killed about 30. I'm not sure why they aren't attracted to enter the bait station.
