Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait
Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait
Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait is a professional water-based insecticide that kills houseflies, fruit flies, and phorid flies in 60 seconds or less by spraying or painting on commercial or residential surfaces.
Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait, manufactured by Bayer, is a powerful fly attractant that offers an unobtrusive way to control flies both indoors and outdoors of residential and commercial structures.
This easy to mix granular bait contains an irresistible aroma of pheromones and sugar based food attractants that flies love. These attractants are also formulated with the active ingredient imidacloprid 10.0% to work against hard-to-kill flies for up to 6 weeks indoors and 30 days outdoors.
Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait is a long-lasting fly control bait that easily mixes with water to provide immediate results with lesser surfaces being treated. Keeping user safety in mind this product also contains a Bitrex bittering agent that helps to deter animals from ingesting the material. As a result, livestock owners or home owners are further guaranteed with a reliable and fast fly control option.
Tools Needed
To use Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait, you will need to mix the product into a handheld sprayer with water. For paint on applications, a paint brush or roller will be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width in feet then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). For spray applications, add 16 oz. of Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait to one gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft. For paint-on applications, add 8 oz. of this product to 8 oz of water. Do not apply this product at a rate exceeding 8 oz. for every 1,000 sq. ft. of floor space.
- Step 2: In a sprayer, fill halfway with the required amount of water and then add the appropriate amount of Maxforce Flyspot Bait to the tank. Fill with the remaining half of water and then shake well to ensure it is completely mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the bait around areas where flies have been a problem. Focus application on vertical and horizontal surfaces in small bands between 2 and 12 feet. For paint on applications, apply in narrow bands up to 6 inches wide on surfaces flies may rest. Flies will land on the treated areas and die within a minute.
- Step 4: Reapply periodically until flies are no longer an issue.
Where to Use
Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait can be applied around the outside of residential and commercial structures or partly enclosed areas, in and around livestock production facilities, poultry houses, turkey and chicken houses, cattle, sheep and goat facilities, feedlots, dairy barns, swine confinements, dog kennels, horse stables, and in non-food areas of commercial facilities.
Focus application on surfaces, windows, countertops, and wall corners and outdoors as well along the perimeter of your house, table tops and anywhere wear those pesky flies love to hang out.
When to Use
Begin Maxforce Flyspot Fly Bait applications at the start of the season before listed fly populations have reached their peak.

Q:Does this product also work on the Cuterebra fly species? We have used Bayer Quickbayt in fly stations (so pets can’t consume/make contact) for nuisance flies when we had a backyard flock of chickens in Alabama, it worked very well and seems to be identical to Maxforce. We have since moved to Colorado and now have several pet rabbits who reside in our backyard. Although we practice thorough sanitation, we had our first horrific experience with “warbles” last summer. Since flies in general are making their comeback this spring, we would like to do all we can to prevent this occurrence again. Any helpful information on products/practices/personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.5/14/18A:The maxforce fly spot is exactly the same product just finally ground up, mixed with water and then sprayed on surfaces that flies land on, such as window ledges, tables, etc. You might want to think about using something residual to spray the areas that flies are resting on, such as fences, house siding etc. I would recommend Bifenthrin, leaves a residual effect and then the flies land, come in contact with the insecticide and it will kill them. You would need to reapply every 30 days or so. Are the pet rabbits loose?

Q:Does the fly spot bait draw flies in? I was told to spay it around the perimeter of my yard so flies won't be drawn to come into our yard. The flies get unbearable under our covered patio and by the swimming pool. Can I spray in these areas or will it attract flies from my neighbors, too? Thanks!5/2/18A:Yes, Maxforce Fly Spot Bait will act as an attractant, and will then kill them when they come in contact with the surface they land on. You can spray the perimeter, fences, etc with Reclaim IT, this will not attract flies, but instead lays down a residual insecticide so when flies land, they will die. It is not a contact kill, so it does take a few minutes. You would then want to spray this about every 30 days or so, will work for mosquitoes also. https://www.solutionsstores.com/reclaim-it-insecticide

Q:What is the shelf life Maxforce Fly Spot Bait that has been diluted and mixed?9/6/17A:You will want to use up what you mix up. Most water supplies have chlorine in them that will interact with the chemical over 48 hours and make it less effective. Also maxforce has a pheromone in it that will lose potency over time.

Q:Once the product is mixed how long will it stay good for?11/3/16A:Hi Dora, Once you have mixed the product it is best to use within 24 hours. The longer the chemical sits in its diluted form the less effective it will become. If you are not wanting to use the full amount we would suggest making a smaller portion of the product.
