MatchPoint Insecticide
MatchPoint Insecticide is a convenient spinosad insecticide offering a quick knockdown of turf pests, especially annual bluegrass weevil larvae.
04/10/26
MatchPoint Insecticide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a professional insecticide that controls insects in golf and sports turf.
Contains the active ingredient spinosad 36%, which allows turf pests control such as annual bluegrass weevil larvae and armyworms with convenient application flexibility.
MatchPoint Insecticide is a fast-acting insecticide that stops turf damages immediately either by contact or ingestion on insects. Specially formulated with the new lignin technology, meaning treated areas will not easily decrease due to UV degradation.
Tools Needed
MatchPoint Insecticide can be used with a hand pump sprayer or a professional-grade spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much MatchPoint Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the pest you are trying to control, apply 0.37 - 0.41 oz. of MatchPoint Insecticide per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of non-residential turf. Refer the label for specific rates.
- Step 2: Add the measured amount of MatchPoint Insecticide to the required volume of water in a mixing tank or sprayer. Thoroughly agitate the mixture to ensure proper dispersion of the insecticide.
- Step 3: Apply MatchPoint Insecticide to the top and bottom of foliage leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
MatchPoint Insecticide can be used on non-residential turfgrass.
When to Use
Apply MatchPoint Insecticide during the early morning or late afternoon when you notice pest activity.
