The Solutions Fly Light is an effective fly light trap designed to control infestations of flies and other winged insects. The dimensions for the Solutions 1x2 fly light are 12.4" x 19" x 2.6" and can either be hung or stood upright.

The Solutions Fly light comes equipped with 2 15-watt UV bulbs which contain a glow that lure flies towards it as well as a giant glue board. When the flying insect approaches the Solutions Fly light, they will get stuck on the glue board. Each Solutions Fly light comes ready to use right out of the box and is very easy to set up and maintain.

Tools Needed

To set up the Solutions 1x2 Fly Light, you will need a screwdriver or drill, as well as a level to make sure the product is hung evenly.

How to Use

• Step 1: Before setting the fly light, mark the areas where the screws or anchors will be on the wall. The fly light should be positioned between four to six feet high because this is normally the area where flies are most active. Be sure your markings are level. It is important to know the material you are drilling into. If your wall is drywall, you will need to screw in the anchors first for effective results. If you are drilling into wood, the anchors are not necessary. Once all of this is done, hold the bracket in place while drilling your anchors and/or screws in. Mount the cage onto the bracket, double-checking to make sure everything is level.
• Step 2: After your fly light is positioned on the wall, unclip the bottom cover. Pull the cage wiring up and away from the main body to access the glue board. Remove it from the fly light and peel off the paper. Be sure to avoid contact with the adhesive. Reinsert the glue board and replace the bottom cover once the board is tightly in place. You will know the bottom cover is in place when it aligns with the divets on the bottom of the fly light. Once this is complete, plug the cord into the fly light and plug the other side into an outlet. The product is now ready to use. 
• Step 3: The glue boards and light bulbs will need to be replaced eventually. If the boards look full or if a bulb goes out, it is time to replace it with a fresh one. Pop open the front cover to gain access to the board and bulbs to remove and replace.

Where to Use

The Solutions 1x2 Fly light is ideal for use in food preparation areas and a variety of other sensitive areas where flies need to be controlled. The ideal height of a fly light is 6 feet off the ground as this is the typical height most flying insects are flying at. If you place the fly lights any lower you can be simply drawing the flies into food prep areas.

When to Use

Use the Solutions 1x2 Fly light when you are encountering flies in food prep and waste disposal areas which can practically be any time of the year.

Special Considerations

Glue boards should be replaced at least every 90 days and bulbs replaced at least every 9 months.
