Main Event Dry Iron, manufactured by Quest Products, is a fully-chelated, non-staining, multi-nutrient micronutrient package that brings out the rich, vibrant greens in turf, ornamentals, and agricultural crops.

This granular, water-soluble iron supplement isn’t about feeding your foliage a full meal it’s about giving it a shot of needed nutrients. A targeted iron supplement that delivers rapid, rich green-up without the flush of growth that typically follows nitrogen-heavy applications. Beyond iron, it includes nitrogen for quick green-up, sulfur to support chlorophyll, plus manganese, magnesium, and zinc all in chelated forms for efficient uptake.

Main Event Dry Iron is one of the simplest, fastest, and safest ways to make a noticeable difference in cool-seasoned turf, warm-seasoned turf, and various other crops. Whether you're preparing for an event, dealing with high pH soils, or simply want to give your turf a little visual boost, this product delivers without surprises.

Tools Needed

A backpack sprayer or spray rig will be needed.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Main Event Dry Iron to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf, use 1.1 to 3.3 oz. of Main Event Dry Iron per 1.5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat agricultural crops, apply 3 to 9 lbs. of product per 50 gallons of water per acre. For horticultural use, apply 3 to 9 lbs. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Add half the amount of water to the tank, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and agitate well.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of the leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Reapply every 14-21 days for cool-seasoned turf. For warm-seasoned turf and agricultural crops, reapply every 30 days.
