Magna Plex Hydration and Infiltration Soil Surfactant

Magna Plex Hydration and Infiltration Soil Surfactant, manufactured by Precision Laboratories, is a unique soil surfactant that combines two proven surfactants Magnus and Duplex in a powerful 4:1 blend to deliver deep hydration and infiltration in turf and thatch, all in one easy-to-use product. It offers swift rescue from dry spots, lifts turf quality, and streamlines water management programs.

Tools Needed

You will need a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, injection system, or hose-end sprayer. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Magna Plex Hydration and Infiltration Soil Surfactant to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Use 5 oz. of Magna Plex Hydration and Infiltration Soil Surfactant per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For larger treatment sites, apply 220 oz. of product per 44 gallons of water per acre. For injection treatments, use 32 oz. of product in a water volume sufficient to treat one acre.
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed. 
• Step 3: Spray the soil surface evenly. Reapply every 30 days. 

Where to Use

Magna Plex Hydration and Infiltration Soil Surfactant can be used on golf courses, athletic fields, residential turf, and commercial turf. 

When to Use

It should be applied every 30 days or when localized dry spot or water-repellent soils become evident.

This product may be included in pest control programs with plant protectants.

Magna Plex Hydration and Infiltration Soil Surfactant is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Special Considerations

It should be applied under the supervision of golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, or professional landscape contractors.

This product does not require irrigation after application. Watering after the application will improve results by moving the product through any thatch/mat layer into the root zone.
