M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide
M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide
M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide, manufactured by Gowan, is a highly effective contact insecticide, miticide, and insecticide that uses potassium salts of fatty acids (also known as insecticidal soap) to kill pests and powdery mildew on crops grown organically or conventionally.
Eliminates pests such as leafminers or two spotted mites and diseases like powdery mildew while posing no harm to people or plants all the way to date of harvest.
M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide ensures a broad-spectrum protection against soft-bodied insects, mites, and powdery mildew throughout their life cycles within 7 to 10 days of application.
Tools Needed
To use M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide, you will need a ground application equipment like a spray rig or aerial spray equipment.
A defoaming agent may be needed for use in sprayers equipped with an agitator.
Do not use with pulse or thermal fogger applicators. Do not apply through any type of irrigation system. Do not mix this product with sulfur.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (length X width = square footage). To treat pests on vegetables, herbs, spices, and turf, apply 1-2% v/v solution. For a 1% v/v solution, mix 1.25 fl. oz. (2.4 tablespoons) of M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide in 1 gallon of water or 1 gallon of product in 100 gallons of water. A 2% solution is prepared by adding 2 gallons of product to 98 gallons of water. For powdery mildew control on turf, use 2% solution. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: When tank mixing, fill the sprayer with half the amount of water then add the measured amount of M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide. Pour the remaining half of water into the spray tank and agitate thoroughly.
- Step 3: Apply M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide solutions to the top and bottom of plant leaves and needle sheaths until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Directly spray powdery mildew and any pests you see for maximum control. Perform a follow-up application when 7 to 10 days have passed after the previous treatment.
Where to Use
M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide can be used on crops which include vegetables, grapes and other small fruits, tree fruits, tree nuts, cotton, tobacco, shrubs, shade and ornamental trees, turf, foliage and flowering plants growing outdoors, in greenhouses and in interiorscapes.
Flowers of plants including African violet, ageratum, azalea, begonia, camellia, chrysanthemum, dahlia, geranium, gloxinia, impatiens, lily, marigold, orchid, pansy, petunia, poinsettia bracts, rose, salvia, snapdragon, vinca and zinnia may be injured when sprayed with this product.
Do not apply to very sensitive plants such as: horse chestnut, Japanese maple, mountain ash, Cherimoya, bleeding heart or sweetpeas.
When to Use
M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide when plants are not under stress and temperatures are not above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Because it is a contact insecticide, do not use this product as a preventative control measure. For this reason, spray when pests and diseases are present.
Avoid applications on new transplants and unrooted cuttings.
Do not use within 3 days of a sulfur application
Special Considerations
Do not tank mix M-Pede Insecticide Miticide Fungicide with adjuvants such as penetrators, spreader stickers or activators, gibberellic acid, calcium nitrate, or diatomaceous earth, foliar nutrients, alkaline based chelating agents (such as EDTA), Aliette fungicide, chlorothalonil and pesticides containing sulfur or metallic ions (such as manganese, magnesium, iron, zinc, etc.) as they may be physically incompatible and/or phytotoxic.
The following plants may be sensitive to this product: bald cypress, begonia, chrysanthemum, Crown of Thorns and other Euphorbia, cucumber, delicate ferns, narrow leaf evergreens (especially when stressed or when tender new growth is present), Dieffenbachia, fuschia, gardenia, impatiens, jade plant, lantana, ornamental ivy, palms, poinsettia, redbud, river birch, schefflera, Zebra plant and some succulents. Test first on a few plants prior to broad scale applications when sensitivity under local use conditions is unknown.
