Liquid Copper Fungicide RTS
Liquid Copper Fungicide RTS
Liquid Copper Fungicide RTS, manufactured by Bonide, is an effective liquid copper fungicide that protects organic gardening plants, roses, and turf from common diseases and funguses.
Incredibly easy to apply, this low concentration of copper fungicide arrives ready to use in its convenient hose-end bottle. Simply attach to a garden hose then point and spray on foliage at the beginning stages of disease outbreak all the way to the day of harvest for the plant.
Liquid Copper Fungicide RTS will control diseases on foliage, but will also protect them during the dormant and active growing stages against diseases like bacterial leaf spot.
Tools Needed
Liquid Copper Fungicide RTS comes ready-to-spray, but you will need to attach it to a garden hose to use it.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Liquid Copper Fungicide RTS to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Liquid Copper Fungicide RTS automatically dilutes the product to control diseases at a rate of 1.1 to 2.3 gallons of diluted spray per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat roses and ornamentals shrubs, use 1.44 fl. oz. of this product per gallon of water. For stone fruit trees, apply 335 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat tobacco, use 149 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: Shake the Liquid Copper Fungicide RTS well before attaching it to the garden hose. Connect a garden hose to the Ready Spray nozzle. Make sure the dial on the nozzle is in the “OFF” position with the safety tab in the valve notch. Turn on the water at faucet. Extend hose to the farthest area to be treated and work back toward the faucet so you don’t come in contact with the treated area.
- Step 3: To begin spraying, point nozzle toward treatment site and bend the safety tab back (located at the right of the yellow dial) with your thumb. Using your other hand, quickly turn the dial clockwise until it stops. Water will automatically mix with the product.
- Step 4: Spray plants thoroughly. Walk at a steady pace while spraying using an even sweeping motion, slightly overlapping treated areas.
- Step 5: To stop spraying, quickly turn the dial in the opposite direction of “ON” until it stops and the safety tab engages the notch on the valve. Turn water off at faucet. To relieve pressure before removing nozzle from hose, bend the safety tab back and turn dial “ON” until water stops spraying.
