Liquid Chisel 0-0-4 Soil Conditioner, manufactured by Helena Chemical, is a high-performance soil conditioning agent that transforms the crop soil profile, improves structure, and boosts nutrient availability resulting in better yield success. 

Its formula is based on 0-0-4, meaning it provides 4% potassium, but no nitrogen or phosphorus. This makes it unique - not your typical fertilizer but a true soil amendment focused on conditioning and improving the soil environment. Potassium is often overlooked in soil amendments, but it is absolutely critical for root development, water regulation, and overall plant vigor.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Liquid Chisel 0-0-4 Soil Conditioner to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For problem soils and water with sensitive or moderately sensitive plants, apply 3 fl. oz. of Liquid Chisel 0-0-4 Soil Conditioner per 1,000 sq. ft. For problem soils and water with tolerant or moderately tolerant plants, use 1.5 to 2 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. For maintenance rates for productive soils with moderately tolerant to tolerant plants, mix 0.75 to 1.5 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed. For soil conditioner uses no mixing with water is necessary. 
• Step 3: Spray the soil in the treatment area thoroughly until wet, but not to the point of runoff. 

Where to Use

Liquid Chisel 0-0-4 Soil Conditioner can be used for fiber and grain crops, grass and forage crops, turfgrass, vegetable and fruit crops, and woody crops. 

When to Use

These applications should be made in the pre-irrigation and/or germination stages of plant growth. A pre-irrigation and/or soil leaching program is recommended prior to the application of this product.

Special Considerations

Herbicide performance is not affected when applied sequentially with Liquid Chisel or when Liquid Chisel is applied in-furrow.
