Legacy Turf Growth Regulator

Legacy Turf Growth Regulator, manufactured by Sepro, is an effective all-in-one turf growth regulator that reduces vertical shoot growth and leaf blade length while promoting a denser, healthier, stress-resistant turf canopy. That means less mowing, fewer clippings, and more consistent playing conditions.

The synergistic combination of flurprimidol and trinexapac-ethyl allows this product to regulate turf growth more evenly and over longer periods than traditional PGRs. It works by limiting gibberellin production the hormone responsible for vertical growth while supporting turf density, color, root mass, and stress tolerance.

Legacy Turf Growth Regulator is a highly advanced, dual-active turf growth regulator designed to provide smooth, consistent growth regulation, while also improving turf quality, limiting Poa annua encroachment, and reducing disease pressure and water use.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Legacy Turf Growth Regulator to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the cool-seasoned turf type, apply 0.4 to 0.9 fl. oz. per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 linear feet. For warm-seasoned turf, use 0.2 to 0.9 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 linear feet depending on the turf type. Do not apply more than 16 fl. oz. of product per acre in a single application.
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed. 
• Step 3: Apply in a 6-inch wide band with a single nozzle sprayer while walking at a speed of 3 miles per hour. Hold the boom steady over the turf surface. Do not apply by moving the spray wand back and forth over an area this will result in non-uniform regulation. Water-in within 24 hours of application to limit surface movement, but not to the point of runoff. Repeat at 4 to 12- week intervals or as needed for growth regulation.

Where to Use

Legacy Turf Growth Regulator can be used both on warm- and cool-season perennial turfgrasses.

Do not use on turf being grown for sale or other commercial use as sod, or for commercial seed production or for research purposes. Do not apply to shrubs, bedding plants, and/or food plants.

When to Use

Apply to actively growing turfgrass. Make spring applications after resumption of active seasonal growth of turfgrass. Schedule the final application of the season a minimum of 4 weeks before the onset of inactive grass growth or winter dormancy.

For best results, delay applications to newly seeded turfgrasses until turf is well established and actively growing.

Make applications when rainfall is not expected, or irrigation can be delayed, for at least 1 hour after application or until the product has dried on the leaf surface.

Safety Information

Legacy Turf Growth Regulator is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Do not apply to turf used for livestock production.

Special Considerations

Treated turfgrass may appear darker green in color. This color change, which appears 1 to 2 weeks after treatment, may persist an additional 3 to 6 weeks.
