Kocide 3000 Copper Fungicide
Kocide 3000 Copper Fungicide
Kocide 3000 Copper Fungicide, manufactured by Certis USA, is a fungicide and bactericide used to prevent a wide range of diseases from killing fruit trees, crops, and vegetables.
Formulated with Copper Hydroxide, Kocide 3000 is safe for the environment. Kocide 3000 can be used during the growing season to ensure the protection of produce. From cornfields to pecan trees and small fruit plants in between, Kocide 3000 will protect crops so they stay healthy until harvest time.
Tools Needed
To apply Kocide 3000, you will need a hand-pump sprayer or backpack sprayer. For larger applications, we recommend using a professional skid sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: To figure out how much Kocide 3000 you need, you will need to determine what disease you wish to treat, what crop you want to protect and the size of the treatment area. To do this, measure and then multiply the length x width to get the total square footage to be treated. For general treatments, one level tablespoon of Kocide can treat a 1,000 sq. ft. area. If you have a 2,000 square foot area to be treated, you would need to use 2 tablespoons of Kocide mixed in 2 gallons of water. Rates may vary depending on the disease and crop so check the label for specifics.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with water then add the appropriate amount of Kocide 3000. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with water and then close the sprayer and shake it up until the product is well mixed.
- Step 3: Apply the Kocide mixture to the target treatment areas, spraying to wet but not to the point of runoff. It is recommended to use a fan spray pattern for uniform coverage.
Where to Use
Kocide 3000 is used on various crops and agricultural land areas. It can be applied to tree crops, field crops, citrus trees, vegetable crops, vines, and more. Please read the product label for a full list of crops that can be treated with Kocide 3000.
When to Use
The best time of the year to apply Kocide 3000 varies and depends on the type of disease being prevented and the type of crop being treated. Kocide 3000 can be applied throughout the growing season to prevent diseases such as brown rot of fruit, citrus scab, and melanose.
Kocide 3000 should be applied at least 24 hours before frost weather conditions to prevent various bacterial plant diseases.
Safety Information
Kocide 3000 is safe for pets and kids when it has been applied properly according to the label. Please allow for the product to dry completely before re-entering treated areas. Be sure to wear the proper PPE before mixing and applying Kocide 3000 (gloves, protective eyewear, particle mask, long sleeve clothing, closed-toed shoes).
Special Considerations
Kocide 3000 can be applied to many different crops to treat and prevent various types of fungus and bacterial diseases. It is recommended to treat label listed crops and plants before fungus and bacterial diseases appear. Kocide 3000 can be reactive to metal surfaces, so take care not to spray on cars, houses, lawn furniture, metal surfaces, masonry surfaces, or galvanized roofing.
