Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait

Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait, manufactured by Kaput, is a powerfully formulated granule product that eliminates and controls California ground squirrel infestations and their fleas.

This squirrel-killing bait contains Diphacinone 0.0025% and Imidacloprid 0.0250%. These ingredients cause blood clotting in squirrels and paralysis in fleas, resulting in fast deaths for both pests.

Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait is an easy-to-use bait with a highly palatable oat-based formulation that competes well with the squirrel's natural food sources.

Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait must be used in a secured, tamper-resistant bait station.

How to Use

• Step 1: Before using the Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait, you will need to determine where California ground squirrels are most active. Once you have determined this, place 2 to 4 lbs. of the Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait per secured bait station with a glove-covered hand. Depending on the infestation, secure each loaded bait station 20 to 100 feet apart.
• Step 2: Transfer the measured amount of Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait from the container to the bait station using waterproof gloves and a long-handled scooping device.
• Step 3: Check bait stations frequently to ensure an uninterrupted supply of bait is always available for at least 15 days or until there are no longer any signs of feeding. Collect and bury dead rodents while wearing waterproof gloves. Dispose of leftover bait according to "Pesticide Disposal."

Where to Use

Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait can be applied in tamper-resistant bait stations around buildings (including yards and flower gardens). Secure bait stations at locations where they will be readily accessible to California ground squirrels, preferably near active burrows.

Kaput Ground Squirrel Bait should only be used when you have discovered damage from California ground squirrels or if they have invaded your home or business.

Special Considerations

After removing the tabs on the side, you may still find it difficult to open the lid. The lids can be a bit stiff to remove. You can use a flathead screwdriver to pop it under the lid to help pry it open, much like a paint can.
