Instrata Fungicide
Instrata Fungicide is a long-lasting fungicide that provides unmatched turf disease control and prevention, including when the ground is covered in snow.
02/27/26
Instrata Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a unique fungicide that offers both preventive and curative disease benefits, ensuring robust turf health throughout various seasons.
It combines chlorothalonil, fludioxonil, and propiconazole, each with distinct modes of action. This multi-faceted approach enhances efficacy against a wide range of turf diseases such as brown patch, dollar spot, and snow mold.
Instrata Fungicide is a propriety blend that contains three active ingredients and modes of action to combat multiple turf diseases and up to 130 days under snow cover.
Tools Needed
A handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig may be used.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Instrata Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the disease, apply 2.75 to 11.0 fl. oz. of Instrata Fungicide per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For acreage applications, apply 120 to 479 fl. oz. of product per 30 to 40 gallons of water per acre. Use 90 gallons of water per acre for tees and greens. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Do not mow or water after treatment until the spray deposited on turfgrass is thoroughly dry. If needed, another application can be made 14 days after the first treatment.
Where to Use
Instrata Fungicide can be used on golf courses, lawns around commercial and industrial buildings, professional and collegiate athletic fields, and sod farms.
Do not use on home lawns and turf sites associated with apartment buildings, daycare centers, playgrounds, playfields, recreational park athletic fields, athletic fields located on or next to schools (e.g., elementary, middle and high schools), campgrounds, churches, and theme parks.
When to Use
Begin applications prior to disease development or when they are first present.
Do not apply on top of snow.
