midaPro 4SC Insecticide, manufactured by Agrisel, is a systemic insecticide aimed at the removal of insects surrounding poultry facilities and agricultural crops. The active ingredient Imidacloprid works well in a low volume use against darkling and hide beetles, crickets, thrips, mites, cotton aphid, plant bugs, and over a 100 types of chewing and sucking insects.

This product has a broad label and can be used for either soil applications or as a foliar spray. Because ImidaPro 4SC is a systemic insecticide, after application the active ingredient will translocate through the vegetation either through the roots or foliage to to protect the plant from common chewing and sucking insect pests.

ImidaPro 4SC if used accurately, may lessen or impact heavy insect populations. If you are not seeing results, you may need to apply this application twice to see most effective results.

Tools Needed

Tools needing for ImidaPro 4SC application depends on the type of agricultural crops, plants, and insects being treated. Applications can be made using a handheld sprayer, hose end sprayer, backpack sprayer, or a spray rig. Because most applications will be made in large volume, we recommend using a professional skid sprayer. For poultry house treatments, a 1 or 1.5 handheld sprayer is recommended.

How to Use

Foliar Spray with Imidapro

  • Step 1: Determine the coverage of area to be treated for the amount of ImidaPro 4SC to be used. To find out the square footage of your treatment area use the formula (length X width = square footage). For treating acreage, take your square footage and divide by 43,560. The application rate depends on the location and what is being treated, ranging from 1 to 16 fl. oz. per acre with at least 10 gallons of water per acre. Planthouse applications, use 0.05 oz. of ImidaPro 4SC per 16 gallons of water per 1000 plants. Tomatoes, use 0.7 oz. of product per 16 gallons of water per 1000 plants. Cucumbers, use 0.7 oz. of product per 21 gallons of water per 1000 plants. Fruiting vegetables, use 8.0 oz. of product per 20 gallons of water per acre. For treating poultry facilities for darkling and hide beetles, use 3.2 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. with 0.5 to 2 gallons of water. Refer to the label for specific application rates based on your needs.
  • Step 2: To mix, fill your sprayer halfway with water, and then add the measured amount of ImidaPro 4SC based on your calculations. Fill your sprayer the rest of the way to capacity to agitate. Shake your sprayer to ensure an even mix.
  • Step 3: Applications may vary depending on your targeted pest and treatment area. For most broadcast foliar applications, you will want to spray the plant with an even uniform coverage, spraying to wet and not run off. For soil treatments, apply to soil with enough water to push the product down deep to the root zone.

Where to Use

ImidaPro 4SC is aimed at treating around poultry facilities, vegetable crops, fruit, trees, and other labeled crop uses. Apply as a broadcast foliar spray or as a direct soil treatment to the seed or root zone of plants.

When to Use

When insecticide populations start to rise around vegetable crops and plants. Depending on the type of plants and insects being treated you will only need to treat at least once per season. Any more than this can have harmful effects on plants and vegetable crops. Apply on calm days when wind speeds are low to minimize drift. Do not apply to plants when they are in bloom or 10 days prior to bloom.

Safety Information

ImidaPro 4SC is not recommend for occupied residential areas, especially those with bees frequenting the area.

Wear appropriate protective personal equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying the spray solution to various areas being treated with the solution. Do not immediately ingest foliage treated with the spray mixture until appropriate safety measures and time have been followed as according to the label.

Special Considerations

ImidaPro 4SC offer broad spectrum control and can be applied in a variety of methods to control labelled insects. However, this spray solution should only be applied once per season in a rural area not surrounded by many residents or animals at the time of treatment.
