Tools Needed

To use the Hypro D-30 Diaphragm Pump w/o Regulator you will need to install it onto a pesticide spraying rig. For this, you will need a base plate, two Lovejoy couplets and a pressure regulator (sold separately). You will also need a strainer to catch any debris.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Following system installation instructions that come with the Hypro D-30 Diaphragm Pump service manual, install the pump to your pesticide spraying rig system. The Pump hooks up to the gas engine via 2 Lovejoy couplets and you will need to mount it on a base plate which will hold it onto the frame then configure plumbing.
  • Step 2: Connect the desired number of hoses to the Diaphragm pump hose barbs on the control valve and then prime the pump by making sure all connections are tight and do not leak air.
  • Step 3: Fill the pump with the correct level of oil and then start the pump and let it run for approximately one minute a low pressure. Test it out to see if it is pressurizing properly or if adjustments need to be made.
  • Step 4: While the pump is operating, adjust the pump to the desired pressure by clamping the pressure adjustment and release lever in the down position.

Where to Use

Spraying Gun

The Hypro D-30 Diaphragm Pump can be used on power sprayers and pesticide spraying rigs and is essentially the heart of the sprayer. It can be used as part of a spraying rig on industrial sites, residential areas or agricultural settings.

When to Use

Use the Hypro D-30 Diaphragm Pump when you need to replace an older Diaphragm Pump that has lost pressure on your power sprayer or spraying rig. This is a great pump for applications requiring high volume, but not necessarily high pressure.

Safety Information

The Hypro D-30 Diaphragm Pump is safe to install and operate when done so by following the service manual instructions. Use the proper PPE (gloves, long-sleeved clothing) when operating and maintaining the pump.

Special Considerations

Never pump corrosive or abrasive liquids as these will cause rapid wear or deterioration of body, rotor, shaft, and seals in the pump. The pump should be used only with liquids compatible with pump component materials. Never exceed maximum specified rpm and pressure. Never run the pump dry. Failure to follow this warning will void the product warranty.
