Hypro 5210 Valve Kit

The Hypro 5210 Valve Kit is manufactured by Hypro and is an essential set of replacement parts for the Hypro 5210 Piston Pump to address pressure quality and air leaks. This valve assembly kit contains all the necessary components for a successful repair that will have your Piston Pump functioning as intended.

This kit includes the following:

Spring Retainer

Valve O-Ring

Valve Seal

Valve Poppet

Valve Spring

Tools Needed

To use this kit, you will need the appropriate tools such as a 9/16 combination wrench, 1/4" allen wrench, a wire brush, valve seat extractor, valve cage extractor and penetrating oil as needed to loosen parts (check owner's manual for details).

How to Use

• Step 1: Disassemble the Piston Pump with the help of a 1/4" Allen wrench and 9/16" combination wrench. During disassembly, you should also use a wire brush to clean all valve cavities, sleeve cavities and ports. Wash the pump body out with solvent and let it dry.
• Step 2: Remove the four valves with the help of the valve seat extractor to pry out the Valve seat and the Valve cage extractor to remove the spring retainer. The valve spring, poppet and O-ring can be easily lifted out. Penetrating oil may be necessary to loosen the parts if they are stuck. 
• Step 3: Replace the removed valve parts with the parts in the Valve Assembly kit.
• Step 4: Reassemble your piston pump and test it out to ensure it is working properly.

Where to Use

The Hypro 5210 Valve Kit is meant to be used only for replacement on a Hypro 5210c Piston Pump.

When to Use

Use the Hypro 5210 Valve Kit when your Hypro 5210c Piston Pump has been damaged or you are experiencing a dip in spray pressure quality. How often these parts need replacing depends on how often you use your spraying rig. If it is heavily used, the parts wear and tear quickly. If the pump has had as much as 500 hours of use, it is suggested to replace the assembly.

Safety Information

Be sure to wear gloves when handling the Piston Pump parts, as there may be residue from chemicals or buildup on the parts. Be sure to properly drain and clean the pump parts before performing maintenance. Keep the parts out of reach of pets and children as they may swallow them.

Special Considerations

You may need 2 to 4 kits to replace all the valves on the Piston Pump.
