Honda GX-160 Engine (Gear Reduction 6:1)
Honda GX-160 Engine (Gear Reduction 6:1)
The Honda GX-160 Engine (Gear Reduction 6:1) is a durable, lightweight, and powerful engine used to power pesticide spraying rigs. It is also more affordable than similar engines available. With the Honda brand, however, you know you're getting a high-quality engine that will last you for a long time. This engine is easy to use and maintain and comes with a 3-year limited warranty. If you are looking to upgrade a spraying rig, this is the engine you need because of its fuel efficiency and high output.
Tools Needed
To use the Honda GX-160 Engine you will need to install it to the spray rig by mounting it to the system with a power screwdriver.
How to Use
- Step 1: Following the manual and guide that comes with the part, install the Honda Engine to your spraying rig system (or you could have our experts install it in the house).
- Step 2: Power the engine by flipping the fuel valve to the on position, move the choke lever to the close position, move the throttle lever slightly to the left then turn the engine switch to the on position. Once this is done, use the retractable pull string to start it up.
- Step 3: Move the choke lever to the open position and your spraying rig is ready for business. To turn the engine off when done, turn the engine switch and fuel valve to the off position. Keep regular maintenance of the engine and make sure it has adequate fluid to work.
Where to Use
The Honda GX-160 Engine is used as the heart of a spraying rig system. Use it to power a skid sprayer for pest control or weed control.
When to Use
Use the Honda GX-200 Engine when you are looking to upgrade your skid sprayer engine or to replace one that has worn out.
Safety Information
Please wear the proper PPE (Gloves, protective eyewear, safety mask) when handling this Honda engine and powering the spray rig.

Q:Why is this engine shown with a gear reduction box ?5/20/22A:Because it is used for sprayers that require it. The pump needs a gear box reduction because it can't keep up with the actual output of the engine.
