Honda GX-160 Electric Start Engine
Honda GX-160 Electric Start Engine
The Honda GX-160 Electric Start Engine is a durable, lightweight, and powerful engine used to power pesticide spraying rigs. It is also more affordable than similar engines available with a fuel capacity of 3.3 U.S. quarts (3.1 liters).
With the Honda brand, however, you know you're getting a high-quality engine that will last you for a long, long time. This engine is easy to use and maintain and comes with a 3-year limited warranty.
If you are looking to upgrade a spraying rig, this is the engine you need because of its fuel efficiency and high output. This Electric Start Engine is very easy to start up after hitting the ON switch to the proper setting.
Tools Needed
To use the Honda GX-160 Engine you will need to install it to the spray rig by mounting it to the system with a power screwdriver. You will need 4 sets of 5/16 nut & bolt with a lock washer, 1/2 inch wrenches or electric drill with 1/2" socket to tighten the nut and bolt. Use the electric drill to drill holes for the mounting of the motor to the rig frame if bolt patterns vary from the previous motor.
How to Use
- Step 1: Following the manual and guide that comes with the part, install the Honda Engine to your spraying rig system (or you could have our experts install it in house).
- Step 2: Power the engine by first flipping the fuel valve to the ON position. Then move the choke lever to the CLOSED position, and then move the throttle lever 1/3 of the way toward the MAX setting. Then turn the key to the START position and hold it there until the engine starts. If the engine fails to start within 5 seconds, release the key, and wait at least 10 seconds before operating the starter again. When the engine starts, release the key, allowing it to return to the ON position.
- Step 3: Move the choke lever to the open position and your spraying rig is ready for run. To turn the engine off when done, turn the engine switch and fuel valve to the off position. Keep regular maintenance of the engine and make sure it has adequate fluid to work.
Where to Use
The Honda GX-160 Engine is used as the heart of a spraying rig system. Use it to power a skid sprayer for pest control or weed control.
When to Use
Use the Honda GX-160 Engine when you are looking to upgrade your skid sprayer engine or to replace one that has worn out.
Safety Information
Please wear the proper PPE (Gloves, protective eyewear, safety mask) when handling this Honda engine and powering the spray rig.
