The Hanson Head Quick Coupler, manufactured by Dixon Manufacturing, is a durable and convenient quick connect tool used to connect hoses tightly for a variety of industrial and mechanical application.

We highly recommend this tool when purchasing one of our professional pesticide spray rig as it creates a tight seal. It also has a swiveling feature that helps when maneuvering around during a spray application without having to twist the gun in the right direction.

Hanson Head Quick Coupler is an effective tool that can also quickly disconnect so you don't have to struggle in removing it. These valuable products are designed to effectively reduce replacement time of attachments without consistent handlement of machinery.

Tools Needed

To use the Hanson Head Quick Coupler, you may need spray gun like the JD9-style Spray Gun with a male plug and a spray hose to connect the coupler to as well as a wrench for tightening.

How to Use

Connecting the coupler

  • Step 1: Take the ferrule fitting that has been threaded onto the spraying hose that you will be connected to. Then take the threaded end of the Hanson Head Quick Coupler and screw it together until it is flush and completely secure.
  • Step 2: Connect the coupler to your spraying tool or spray gun. The Hanson Head Quick Coupler comes with a spring-loaded push-to-connect feature. Push the head of the coupler back and then push it onto the receiving end of your gun.
  • Step 3: With the hose and gun connected, you're ready to spray.

Where to Use

The Hanson Head Quick Coupler can be used for a variety of applications but we use this piece of hardware primarily to connect spray tools or spray guns to the spray hose of a pesticide spraying rig.

When to Use

The Hanson Head Quick Coupler should be used when you need to connect a threaded spray hose to a spray gun for large volume pesticide spray application.

Safety Information

The Hanson Head Quick Coupler is safe to use when installed as instructed. When conducting any professional spray rig applications, be sure to wear the proper PPE (gloves, protective eyewear, particle mask, long sleeve clothing, closed-toed shoes).

Special Considerations

The Hanson Head Quick Coupler is available for 3/8 inch ID hose and 1/2 inch ID hose. Make sure you get the right tool for your hose size. The coupler will not connect to your selected gun (such as a JD9) without a male plug having been installed first.

Keith's Pro Tips"When attaching the quick coupler to the hose, make sure that you screw the nut onto the hose counter-clockwise and use 2 wrenches to tighten the coupler onto the hose. Be careful not to overtighten and secure the coupler just enough to where its snug."
Product DrawbacksDepending on how often you use your quick disconnect, the spring and o-ring may wear out. This rarely happens, but it may be a possibility.
