GreenClean Pro
GreenClean Pro
GreenClean Pro, manufactured by BioSafe Systems, is a professional strength algaecide and bactericide that is effective against a broad-spectrum of algae in water sources and bacterial and fungal diseases on turf.
Formulated with Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate 85.00%, this granular product will create a powerful reaction against active and dormant stages of spores.
GreenClean Pro provides no mutational resistance for full suppression of pathogens and waters treated with this product can be used without interruption after application.
Tools Needed
GreenClean Pro can be used as a broadcast or aerial spread by plane or other professional device. It may also be used alone without any other application equipment or with a mechanical spreader. We recommend using a handheld spreader for small areas and a broadcast spreader for areas as large as 1,000 sq. ft.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much GreenClean Pro to use on land by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Determine how much Black Onyx Lake Colorant to use on water sites by measuring the surface area acreage. To do this, measure the length, width, and depth of the waterbody, and then divide by 43,560 (length x width x depth / 43,560 = acre-feet). For stock tanks, livestock water, agricultural spray irrigation waters, irrigation ponds, drainage water, and ditches use 2-10 tablespoons of GreenClean Pro per thousand gallons of water. For algae control in rice/wild rice fields and paddies apply 10-25 lbs. of product per acre. For a general treatment on turf, use 2 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: When treating land, adjust spreader to the appropriate ratio as stated on the product label. Load the proper amount of GreenClean Pro into your selected spreader. No application tools are needed when treating water unless its being applied by plane.
- Step 3: When treating water, stand at the water bodies edge then spread the proper amount of GreenClean Pro. Allow the water to spread the product to the center or use a boat to reach the middle of the water body. For land applications, avoid overlaps by starting at the edge of the treatment area then move towards the middle in a single lap.
Where to Use
GreenClean Pro can be applied to ponds, lakes, lagoons, fish ponds, water gardens, stock tanks, livestock watering ponds, watering troughs, livestock watering systems, golf course ponds, industrial/commercial ponds, impounded waters, standing water, bilge water, reservoir water, waterways, storm waters, conveyance ditches, canals, laterals, drainage systems, irrigation systems, irrigation ponds, catch basins, flooded areas, sewage systems, sewage lagoons, wastewater, drain fields, fire ponds, non-potable watering tanks, non-potable watering systems, storage tanks, non-potable water collectors and domestic/commercial waters, non-chlorinated swimming areas, rice paddies and fields.
This product may also be applied to indoor, greenhouse, and outdoor grown: ornamental plants, flowering plants, bedding plants, nursery stock, turf, and all agricultural crops including food crops.
Do not apply directly to treated, finished drinking water reservoirs or drinking water receptacles when the water is intended for human consumption.
When to Use
Apply GreenClean Pro when you wish to suppress, control and/or prevent algae, nostoc algae, cyanobacteria, bacteria, fungi, moss and slime mold in most water sites, most non-painted surfaces, on turf grasses and soil surfaces containing growing plants.
Use this product early in the day under calm, sunny conditions, and when water temperatures are warm. Sunlight and higher temperatures both enhance GreenClean Pro activity
Do not use this product within three days of metal-based fungicides or fertilizer applications.
Safety Information
GreenClean Pro is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until sprays have dried or dusts have settled.
Special Considerations
Non-target plants will suffer contact burn if undiluted GreenClean Pro granules are accidentally spilled on them. Do not apply in such a way that the concentrated product comes in contact with grass, ornamentals and other foliage.
