Gourmet Ant Bait Gel
Gourmet Ant Bait Gel
Gourmet Ant Bait Gel (replacement for Outsmart Brand Ant Gel), manufactured by Innovative Pest Control Products, is a patented bait attractant that mimics honeydew with uni-tract increasing its bait acceptance across a veriety of protein feeding ants, sweet feeding ants, and cockroaches.
Unlike other baits, the Gourmet Ant Bait Gel contains less repellent to increase the chances of pests feeding on the material. This odorless ant and cockroach bait will remain intact despite hot weather activities and will not stain treated surfaces.
Gourmet Ant Bait Gel is a slow-acting bait killing ants and other pests once the material is ingested. When ingested, the active ingredient disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (DOT) 6% attacks the pests central nervous system leading to paralysis and eventual death. Due to its slow effects this bait will allow enough time for the pest to travel back to its harborage or colony thus exposing the material to other pests for a complete elimination.
Tools Needed
To apply Gourmet Ant Bait Gel you do not need any additional product as it comes ready to use.
How to Use
- Step 1: Locate areas where ants travel. Clean up all secondary food like crumbs off counters, and wipe up any water sources to prevent ants from avoiding areas with bait.
- Step 2: Make long thin lines in areas where ants are a problem. Use 1-3 lines for each placement. Long thin lines allow room for many ants to feed on the bait at a single feeding. Place Gourmet Ant Bait Gel where ants are trailing or have been seen. The placements that are fed upon regularly will shrink or disappear, indicating that you should use a larger quantity of bait in these areas.
- Step 3: Make applications until ant activity has stopped, which make take up to 5 days. Bait that has been applied will last for up to 2 weeks.
Where to Use
Gourmet Ant Bait Gel can be applied indoors and outdoors in various areas along ant trails. Indoor applications can be made around windows, doorways, cabinets, baseboards and other cracks and crevice areas where ants travel.
Outdoor applications can be made around planter boxes, weep holes, wood decks, fences, and other areas where ant trails are seen.
When applications are made in kitchen areas, do not applyGourmetAnt Bait Gel in areas where food and utensils come in contact.
When to Use
Gourmet Ant Bait Gel can be used anytime ants and ant trails are seen. It can also be used as a preventative treatment if applied around outdoor areas like windows, doorways and other areas to keep ants from coming indoors.
Safety Information
Gourmet Ant Bait Gel can be used around pets and children when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying Gourmet Ant Bait Gel.
Special Considerations
Gourmet Ant Gel Bait is odorless and won't stain surfaces or leave a mess. It stays where you put it, making it stay in place at any temperature. For long-term control or for heavy infestations, Gourmet Ant Bait Gel may be used in Ant Café or other similar bait stations. Using a bait station allows for placement of a large amount of gel without having it dry out.

Time to Kill | When strategically placed in areas of infestation or noticeable ant traffic, the sweet honeydew attractant in Gourmet Ant Bait Gel draws insects to forage. Once ingested, the active ingredient DOT begins its attack on the ant’s central nervous system. This attack is slow so that poisoned ants will return to their nests after consuming Gourmet Ant Bait Gel and will feed their young and the queen, passing along the DOT poisoning. When other food sources are removed, ants will continue feeding on Gourmet Ant Bait Gel until they die. |

Q:will it kill ghost ants ?1/3/20A:Thank you for asking. Gourmet Ant Bait Gel is not labeled for Ghost ants. We recommend using Advion Ant Gel Bait. The formula delivers a slow acting kill so the bait can be passed around to affect the entire colony.

Q:Will this work for Pharoah ants?7/19/18A:Ues, Gourmet Ant Bait Gel will work on Pharaoh Ants. pharaoh ants prefer to nest indoors over outdoors. They are notorious for being found in establishments that handle large amounts of foods like hotels, grocery stores and hospitals. Inside, they nest in warm, humid areas wherever there is plenty of food and water nearby. Like many other ants, pharaoh ants primarily like to eat sweets and sugar-based foods as well as food that is really greasy.
