Tools Needed

To apply Gordon Trimec Crabgrass Plus Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate, you will need to use a handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or tow-behind boom sprayer.

How to Use

Hose-End Spray Application

  • Step 1: Determine how much Gordon Trimec Crabgrass Plus Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For spot treatments, mix 2.5 fl. oz. of Gordon Trimec Crabgrass Plus Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate in 1 gallon of water per 400 sq. ft. To treat the entire lawn, apply 6.4 fl. oz. of product in 0.5 to 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. The maximum application rate is 6.4 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per application. The maximum number of applications is limited to 2 per year with a minimum of 21 days between applications. The maximum seasonal rate is 12.8 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.
  • Step 2: To mix in pump sprayers and boom equipment, fill it with the appropriate amount of water and add needed amount of Gordon Trimec Crabgrass Plus Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate. Close the sprayer and shake well until the solution is well-mixed. To mix in a hose-end sprayer, pour the product into sprayer jar then add the appropriate amount of water. Close the sprayer, connect to garden hose, shake well.
  • Step 3: To broadcast over large areas, spray the mixed Gordon Trimec Crabgrass Plus Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate evenly to treated areas until the top and bottom of weeds surfaces are wet. For hose-end sprayer applications, extend the hose from the furthest point from faucet. Walking back towards the faucet, begin spraying, avoiding contact with the treated area. For tow-behind boom sprayers, make even applications by driving at a constant speed that delivers the prescribed amount of spray required for the area to be treated. Do not water lawn within 24 hours of treatment.
