Freelexx Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a powerful solution for controlling a wide range of weeds in diverse environments.

This selective herbicide features the active ingredient 2,4-D 56.3%, which kills emerged weeds such as bitterweed, flixweed, and horseweed, and is labeled for use on the same sites as DMA 4 IVM.

Freelexx Herbicide effectively manages weed infestations while ensuring safety and environmental responsibility.

Tools Needed

Freelexx Herbicide can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Freelexx Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). General spot treatments will use 1/5 fl. oz. of Freelex Herbicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer the label for specific application rates.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Freelexx Herbicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Agitate the tank until solution is mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff.

Where to Use

Freelexx Herbicide can be used in forests, grass pastures, rangeland, Conservation Reserve Program acres, ornamental turfgrass (including turfgrass grown for sod or seed), non-cropland and aquatic areas.

Do not use on bentgrass, alfalfa, clover, or other legumes.

When to Use

Apply Freelexx Herbicide during warm weather when weeds are young and actively growing.

Do not use on newly seeded areas until grass is well established.
