BEST ANSWER: according to manufacturer website 208' x 208' Pond (1.0) Acre 4 ft avg depth - Amount required: 32 Ounces (quart)
We have a 1 1/2 acre pond that is shallow at the edges but 11 ft deep in the middle....It is home to fish and ducks. The pond is currently covered in duckweed and moss, how much of this product would we need to clear it please?
Farmer John on Jun 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It requires the average depth of the pond and this has a 3 day application formula, please call or refer to the product label to calculate your exact usage.

Pond area (in acres) x Pond average depth (in feet)
= Quantity of Alligare Fluridone RTU to apply (in quarts)
Example: 1.7 acre pond x 6.0 foot average depth = 10.2
(rounded up to 10.5 quarts)
How about affecting fish in the pond??
jimmy on Dec 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Fluridone RTU will not affect fish in a pond that has been treated, only recommendations is to follow directions and in higher temperatures to apply to sections of the pond if aquatic weeds are excessive, as not to create a quick lack of oxygen.

Fluridone RTU Effectiveness
I have treated my less than I/2 acre pond with 2 quarts of Fluridone RTU and after 4 to 5 weeks have seen no evidence of it working. Not sure if I should spend the money for another quart.
