Flumishield SC Herbicide, manufacutured by Quali-Pro, is a powerful concentrate herbicide that offers both pre-emergent and post-emergent control against a broad-spectrum of weeds both in aquatic and bare ground areas.

This product is a stronger alternative to standard post- and pre-emergent herbicides since it offers a quick knockdown and residual control of problematic weeds like dogfennel, doveweed, and duckweed.

Flumishield SC Herbicide is a convenient product that enables homeowners and professional applicators total control over unwanted vegetation. This dependable formula kills burns listed broadleaf and grassy weeds immediately on contact, and continues to do so even during the cooler parts of the year.

Tools Needed

To use Flumishield SC Herbicide, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, airboat, helicopter, airplane, or other application equipment that will ensure thorough coverage of plant foliage.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Flumishield SC Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For aquatic applications, you will need to calculate the surface area acreage by measuring length x width in feet to get square feet and dividing by 44. To treat weeds in labeled aquatic sites as a surface spray, use 6 to 12 oz. of Flumishield SC Herbicide in 30 gallons of water per surface acre. For pre- and post-emergent control on non-crop areas, conifer and poplar re-forestation sites, apply 8 to 12 fl. oz. of product with 1 quart of non-ionic surfactant in 40 gallons of water per acre. For broadcast applications on dormant bermudagrass grown on residential sites, golf courses, sod productions, and similar areas apply 8 to 12 fl. oz. of product in 40 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Flumishield SC Herbicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the sprayer tank lid and shake until the solution is ready to mix.
  • Step 3: Adjust the sprayer to deliver a fine mist of the mixed Flumishield SC Herbicide to the top and bottom of weeds until wet, but not to the point of runoff. To perform aquatic weed control, treat 1/3 to 1/2 of the water area in a single operation and wait at least 10 to 14 days between treatments. Begin treatment along the shore and proceed outwards in bands to allow fish to move into untreated areas.

Where to Use

Flumishield SC Herbicide can be used in container and field grown conifers (including Christmas trees) and deciduous trees, around established woody ornamentals in landscapes and maintain non-crop areas and dormant Bermudagrass. It may also be used for aquatic sites such as bayous, lakes, ponds (including golf course ponds), canals, marshes, and reservoirs.

Do not use in water utilized for crawfish farming.

When to Use

Use Flumishield SC Herbicide when emerged weeds are less than 2 inches in height and on sunny days when rainfall is not expected to occur after one hour of application and temperatures are above 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
