09/08/25
Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide, manufactured by OHP, is an effective suspended concentrate miticide that offers fast knockdown and long residual control of a wide range of mite species, including the most problematic ones like the two-spotted spider mite.
This product acts quickly on both immature and adult mites, delivering fast suppression of existing infestations. You’ll typically start seeing a reduction in mite populations within 3 days of application. One of the most notable benefits of Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide is its extended residual activity. It provides control for up 3 weeks, reducing the need for frequent applications and saving on labor costs.
Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide has earned its reputation as one of the most effective and fast-acting miticides for ornamental crops. It powerfully controls spider mites alongside a low risk to beneficial insects and minimal phytotoxicity, making it a must-have for professional growers and landscape managers alike.
Tools Needed
Apply by ground equipment such as, but not limited to, compressed air sprayers, hydraulic sprayers, ground boom sprayers, air blast sprayers.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general applications, mix 4 to 8 fl. oz. of Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide in 100 gallons of water or 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of product with 1 gallon of water and apply as a full coverage spray to the foliage using a volume of 1-4 qts. of final solution per 100 sq. ft. (or 100-400 gallons per acre). Do not apply more than 32 fluid ounces per acre per year. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure thorough spray coverage of all foliage, including the top and bottom of leaves.
Where to Use
Floramite SC Ornamental Miticide can be used for all ornamental plants, including bedding plants, flowering plants, foliage plants, bulb crops, perennials, trees and shrubs. It may also be used on all non-bearing fruit trees which will not bear fruit for a minimum of 12 months.
