Fipronil 0.1G, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is a powerful commercial insecticide that does the job against turf and landscape pests immediately upon treatment and long after application for 4 months against mole crickets and 1 year for fire ants.

This easy to use granule works by contact and ingestion against insects such as fleas, ticks, and imported fire ants all season long. With either of these methods, these pests chloride channels in their central nervous system leading to its eventual death.

Fipronil 0.1G is a unique granule insecticide that can be applied either as a slit-applied method or broadcast application for complete above and below-ground pest control in all types of weather conditions.

Tools Needed

Fipronil 0.1G will need to be applied with a slit-placement equipment like a slit seeder or broadcast equipment like a push spreader.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Fipronil 0.1G to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together. For acerage, take square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For slit-placement applications, apply 12.5 to 25.0 lbs. of Fipronil 0.1G per acre or 4.6 to 9.4 oz of product per 1,000 sq. ft. For broadcast applications, apply 12.5 lbs. of product per acre or 4.6 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.
  • Step 2: Before use in a slit-placement equipment or spreader, calibrate and adjust the equipment to ensure accurate application rates. Once properly calibrated, load the measured amount of Fipronil 0.1G.
  • Step 3: When making broadcast applications, spread the Fipronil 0.1G evenly to the entire treatment area. When using slit-placement equipment, the slit depth should be set to the area where the thatch and soil meet. Ensure that the soil is covered back up when using slit-placement equipment. Water-in immediately after application.

Where to Use

Fipronil 0.1G can be applied to turfgrass areas including golf courses, lawns in commercial and residential areas; cemeteries; recreational areas including parks, campsites; around schools and sports fields; and on sodfarms; and landscape beds.

Do not apply this product to pastures or grazing lands.

Do not broadcast over impervious surfaces such as paved or concrete roads, sidewalks, driveways, and walkways.

When to Use

Use Fipronil 0.1G only from April to September when you see signs of turf damage or the pest itself.
