Tools Needed
To apply Fertilome F-Stop Lawn & Garden Fungicide, you will need to use either a hose-end sprayer or handheld pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Fertilome F-Stop Lawn & Garden Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To treat lawns, dilute 5 1/3 fl. oz. of Fertilome F-Stop Lawn & Garden in 1 gallon of water per 250 sq. ft. of lawn area. Depending on the fruit or vegetable the application rates will vary so it would be best to refer to the product label. For strawberries, apply 2 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water. For tomatoes, use 1 1/2 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water. To treat roses, flowers, and ornamental shrubs, apply 1 1/2 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water. Do not apply more than 16 treatments per year for lawns.
- Step 2: To mix in a handheld pump sprayer, you need to pour in half the amount of required water then add the measured amount of Fertilome F-Stop Lawn & Garden Fungicide. Next, you will add in the remaining half of water into the spray tank then agitate until solution is mixed. To mix in a hose-end sprayer, you will only add the needed amount of product then spray until the proper amount of water is added.
- Step 3: Spray the mixed Fertilome F-Stop Lawn & Garden Fungicide until all plant surfaces are wet, covering both upper and lower leaf surfaces. Apply to the point when spray just begins to run off the leaves. Treat once every 2 weeks on ornamental shrubs and flowers throughout the growing season until diseases are no longer present. On roses, treat once every 7 to 10 days if black spot is present.
Where to Use
Fertilome F-Stop Lawn & Garden Fungicide can be used on listed roses, flowers, ornamental shrubs, berries, fruits, nuts, vegetables and lawns.
When to Use
Apply Fertilome F-Stop Lawn & Garden Fungicide before diseases appear or when diseases are present on listed foliage. Begin applications early in the season when weather conditions are favorable for diseases development such as cloudy, wet weather. For lawns, start application when the lawn begins to turn green in the spring or when signs of disease are present.
Make applications early in the morning or evening when temperatures are beneath 90 degrees Fahrenheit and rain is not expected to occur for 2 hours after treatment.
