Ferti-lome Triple Action
Ferti-lome Triple Action
Ferti-Lome Triple Action, manufactured by VPG, Inc., acts as an insecticide, fungicide, and miticide for your agricultural crops (vegetables), fruits, nuts, herbs, spices, roses, flowers, and shrubs around your lawn and turf. This easy to use liquid product works as "exciter" that will flush insects hiding within your vegetation out and into contact with insecticide residuals. As a fungicide, Ferti-lome Triple Action will help to ensure the prevention of any diseases or fungicides such as powdery mildew, black spot, or brown spot occurring within your turf or ornamental plants.
The two active ingredients, pyrethrins 0.25% and clarified hydrophobic extract of neem oil 70%, work to irritate the insects from the area where the spray application is applied. Ferti-Lome Triple Action is an effective product that not only treats insects, but fungicides and mites as well. It works well by stopping and affecting any stage of an insects, disease or fungus development.
Tools Needed
You will need a backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or handheld pump sprayer. For small residential gardens or ornamental plants, we recommend a handheld 1 gallon pump sprayer for easier application.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine the size of the area to be treated with Ferti-Lome Triple Action by measuring it in square footage. If unsure, then measure and multiply the treatment areas length times width (length X width = square footage). Ferti-Lome Triple Action will be mixed at the rate of 1 fl. oz of the product per 1,000 sq. ft with 1 gallon of water. For example, if you measured out an area of 1,500 sq. ft., then you would need 1.5 fl. oz. of product with 1.5 gallons of water.
- Step 2: To mix, fill your sprayer halfway with the required amount of water, then add the calculated amount of Ferti-Lome Triple Action, and finally add in the remainder half of water. Agitate the spray mixture well then you will be ready to apply to your turf.
- Step 3: Spray the spray mixture thoroughly until top and bottom of leaf surfaces are wet. Do not apply so much of the spray mixture to the point of run off. Repeatedly shaking the sprayer as your spray will guarantee successful termination of insects, diseases, and fungicides. You will only apply this once a day for 7 days total. Early morning application will work best as this is when insects are less active.
- Step 4: Reapply the spray mixture once a day within 14 days to terminate all target insects and diseases.
Where to Use
Ferti-Lome Triple Action can be used on residential lawns, grassy areas, and commercial turf. This spray mixture can be applied to fruits, nuts, vegetables, herbs, spices, roses, houseplants, flowers, shrubs, and other ornamental plants in landscape areas.
When to Use
Use Ferti-Lome triple action upon first seeing a fungus, disease, and insect activity on your foliage or as preventative measure during early spring to mid fall. Ferti-Lome Triple Action can be used until the day of harvest for agricultural crops. Because this product contains oils, it is best to apply in the morning or late afternoon to minimize foliage burn. For tough to control fungus and insects, you will want to apply on a 7 day schedule until pest pressure is no longer present.
Safety Information
Ferti-Lome Triple Action is safe to use near children or pets when applied according to the label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying the spray application.
Special Considerations
Do not apply this spray mixture on wilted or stressed plants as this can kill them. Do not use spray adjuvants (surfactants) with this product.
