Ferti-Lome Centipede Lawn Fertilizer 15-0-5, manufactured by VPG, is a practical, long-lasting granular fertilizer that feeds and protects your lawn from damaged or yellow turf.

This 15-0-5 fertilizer contains slow-release nitrogen and high iron, providing a rich, long-lasting green color for over two months.

As a long-lasting formulation, this product must be applied only twice a year, in the spring and fall. Ferti-Lome Centipede Lawn Fertilizer 15-0-15 is a powerful and easy fertilizer ideal for Centipede, Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Fescue, St. Augustine, Bahia, Bermuda, Zoysia, and Bentgrass lawns.

Tools Needed

You must broadcast the product with a push or hand spreader. It is also helpful to have a scale and bucket to measure the product you need based on your treatment area.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Ferti-Lome Centipede Lawn Fertilizer 15-0-15 to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To find the square footage, you will measure in feet and multiply the length and width of the treatment area (length X width = square footage). The application rate of this product is 4 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. If your turf does not precisely measure an even 1,000 sq ft. You will convert the treatment area square footage into a decimal form and then multiply it by the recommended rate of 4 lbs. For example, if you have a 1,600 sq. ft. treatment area, then you will need 6.4 lbs. of fertilizer (4 lbs. X 1.6 sq. ft. = 6.4 lbs. of product to use).
• Step 2: Load your spreader with the appropriate amount of Ferti-Lome Centipede Lawn Fertilizer 15-0-15 and put the spreader on the correct setting for your specific spreader model (check the label for details). If you are unsure which setting to use with your spreader, you can test your spreader settings on 250 sq. ft. of turf. You aim to apply at a rate of 1 pound of product per 250 sq. ft., so adjust your settings until this rate is reached. When using, start by walking a straight line around the perimeter of your treatment area, then towards the middle until you have complete coverage. Be careful to minimize the fertilizer being thrown onto concrete or non-turf areas.
• Step 3: Lightly water your treatment area after application to ensure the fertilizer activates and soaks into the soil. You should apply an inch of water to avoid washing the product off your lawn and to provide a thorough watering.

Where to Use

Ferti-Lome Centipede Lawn Fertilizer 15-0-15 can be used in residential and commercial lawns or gardens containing Centipede, Bluegrass, perennial Ryegrass, Fescue, St. Augustine, Bahia, Bermuda, Zoyia and Bentgrass.

This product cannot be applied near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches.

When to Use

Apply when warm weather has started in the spring and in the early fall.

Special Considerations
