Escalade 2 Herbicide
Escalade 2 Herbicide is a powerful post-emergent herbicide that delivers fast, effective control of over 240 broadleaf weeds using three powerful active ingredients, making it ideal for professional turf management.
04/21/26
Escalade 2 Herbicide, manufactured by Nufarm, is a highly effective selective herbicide that eliminates over 240 broadleaf weeds without harming lawns and turf in a couple of weeks.
This post-emergent herbicide is formulated with a trio of active ingredients 2,4-D, Fluroxypyr, and Dicamba to pack a one-two-three punch against even the most stubborn lawn invaders such as oxalis, clover, burweed, and more. This multi-angle attack helps prevent resistance and ensures a more complete kill of even hard-to-control species.
Escalade 2 Herbicide is a straightforward systemic and contact herbicide that delivers rapid visual results, followed by deep systemic kill even in mature or drought-stressed weeds. Ideal for early spring or spot treatments, it’s highly compatible with most liquid fertilizers and iron, helping reduce callbacks and maximize efficiency.
Tools Needed
You will need a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, spray rig, or chemigation system.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Escalade 2 Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For ornamental lawns and turf, apply 0.75 to 1.1 fluid ounces of Escalade 2 Herbicide in 0.5 to 5.5 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet. For non-turf areas, use 2 to 5 pints of product per 50 to 300 gallons of water per acre. For control of woody plants in non-turf areas, use 4 to 5 pints of this product per 200 to 600 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. To minimize grass injury, a second application should not be made for at least 4 weeks.
Where to Use
Escalade 2 Herbicide can be used in ornamental lawns, turf, sod farms, non-turf areas, roadsides, and rights-of-ways.
Do not use on golf course greens or Bentgrass tees.
Do not use on Centipede, St. Augustine, Dichondra, nor on lawns or turf where desirable clovers are present.
When to Use
It works best when weeds are young and actively growing. Make applications on days when the temperature is below 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
When treating Carpetgrass, avoid applications when the temperature exceeds 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
Safety Information
Escalade 2 Herbicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of the treated area for 48 hours after application.
Special Considerations
Adding oil, wetting agent, or other appropriate surfactant to the spray may be used to increase effectiveness on weeds but doing so may reduce selectivity to turf resulting in turf damage.
