Martin's Eraser Maxx Super Concentrate, manufactured by Control Solutions, Inc., is a systemic, non-selective herbicide for controlling various grasses, broadleaf weeds, brush, and vines. It is fast-acting and rains within one hour.

Eraser Maxx Super Concentrate contains a super concentrate formula of the powerful post-emergent herbicides glyphosate and imazapyr, making it effective against hard-to-control weeds, brush, and trees. Its dual formula will completely kill off weeds within 2 weeks, and unlike its counterpart, Eraser Herbicide, its long residual will keep weeds from re-growing for up to 1 year.

The difference between Eraser and Eraser Maxx is that Eraser only contains glyphosate as its active ingredient and has no soil activity. This means it must be applied to the leaves of actively growing plants to be effective. Eraser Max contains glyphosate and imazapyr. Eraser Max will have soil activity, allowing the product to be taken up by plant roots and move through the soil to treat plants where the product was not applied.

Because Eraser Maxx Super Concentrate Herbicide offers long-term total vegetation control, it is ideal for use in areas where you do not want anything to grow, such as along fence rows, gravel paths, sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and around farm buildings and barns.

Tools Needed

This product can be applied using pump sprayers, hose-end sprayers, backpack sprayers, sprinkling cans, or truck-mounted professional pesticide spray rigs.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Eraser Maxx Super Concentrate Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Do this by measuring the area's length and width (in feet), then multiplying them (length x width = square feet). For bare ground/total vegetation control, mix 7.4 fl. oz. of Eraser Max Super Concentrate Herbicide per gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply more than 7.4 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. per year. Mix 6 fl. oz. of product with 1 gallon of water for spot control of brush, vines, and weeds. Refer to the label for specific rates and restrictions. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
  • Step 2: If the weeds are taller than 6 inches, mow or cut them down and remove debris before treatment. Allow for 2 weeks of new growth or until full leaf formation.
  • Step 3: Eraser Maxx Super Concentrate Herbicide can be used for bare ground or spot applications. Spray the mixture uniformly over areas where total vegetation control is desired. Spray the foliage of plants uniformly to the point of wet, not run-off.
  • Step 4: Re-treatment may be conducted after one year. However, in areas of heavy rainfall, it may be necessary to re-treat every 6 to 8 months.

Where to Use

Eraser Maxx Super Concentrate Herbicide can be used on non-crop areas: industrial sites, petroleum tank farms, lumberyards, manufacturing sites, storage areas, airports, roadsides, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, tennis courts, fencerows, along fences of paddocks, corrals, feedlots, and livestock holding areas; hedgerows, dry ditch banks, around domestic dwellings, around farm buildings and barns, agricultural uncultivated areas, shelter beds, farm yards, farm premises, outdoor buildings, structures and shelters such as beef barns, hog barns, dairy barns, stables, dog kennels, poultry houses; and for establishment and maintenance of wildlife openings.

When to Use

This product is for applications to areas where no vegetation is desired for up to 1 year.

Eraser Maxx is best used on sunny days with temperatures above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It should be applied to actively growing weeds in early or late summer when targeted plants have total leaf growth or after fruit formation.

Apply on calm days when low wind speeds (under 10 mph) to minimize drift to desirable vegetation.

Safety Information

Eraser Maxx Super Concentrate Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Keep all people and pets out and off the treated areas until dry.

Special Considerations

This was formerly known as Eraser Max. It has an updated name and is still the same great product.

Eraser Maxx Super Concentrate Herbicide does have soil activity, so it will even affect plants that were not directly sprayed. Be sure to avoid any runoff or spray drift. Do not apply along fence lines if desirable vegetation grows on the other side or if future planting is desired.
