Tools Needed

Empress Intrinsic Brand Fungicide will need to be applied with a handheld pump sprayer or backpack sprayer.

Do not apply using overhead irrigation or other equipment that delivers application to foliage.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Empress Intrinsic Brand Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For propagation ornamentals, use 1.0 to 3.0 fl. oz. of Empress Instrinsic Brand Fungicide per 100 gallons of water. To treat ornamentals in production, use 2.0 to 6.0 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. For maximum applications of rooted cutlings, seedlings, and plugs in propagation, use 12 fl. oz. per 100 gallons of water per acre. For maximum treatment of herbaceous and woody plants in greenhouse, nursery container, or field production use 60 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 1.5 gallons of product per acre per year or 4.4 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year.
• Step 2: To mix, fill your selected sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Empress Intrinsic Brand Fungicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the sprayer tank and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
• Step 3: Direct your mixed Empress Intrinsic Brand Fungicide solution to the containers surface and soil only as a drench application. Spray to the point of wet, but not runoff.

Where to Use

Use Empress Intrinsic Brand Fungicide can be used on production ornamentals, forest and conifer nurseries, and plantations within greenhouses, interiorscapes, lathhouses and shadehouses, outdoor nurseries (container or field), and retail nurseries.

Do not apply to ornamentals planted in landscape areas, including residential areas, parks, golf courses, cemeteries, roadside plantings or other similar areas.

When to Use

Applications of Empress Intrinsic Brand Fungicide are best made when soil media has good moisture but not saturates (soil should not be dry prior to application). For seedling ornamentals, wait until both roots and a first true leaf are present. Cuttings should be rooted prior to use of this product.

Do not use this product when symptoms of soilborne diseases have become evident. For outdoor applications, do not apply this product when rainfall is expected to occur 48 hours after application.

Safety Information

Empress Intrinsic Brand Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until the spray has dried. 

Special Considerations

Empress Intrinsic Brand Fungicide can only be tank-mixed with other fungicides. Do not alternate this product with other Group 11 fungicides.
