Durentis Insecticide
Durentis Insecticide is a long-lasting, professional insecticide that controls a wide range of above and below-ground pests on residential, commercial, and institutional turf and landscape areas.
10/20/25
Durentis Insecticide, manufactured by FMC, is a unique long-lasting residual insecticide that eliminates a broad-spectrum of turf and ornamental pests in lawns, landscapes, and other outdoor environments.
The active ingredient, chlorantraniliprole, works by disrupting the ryanodine receptors in insects causing muscle paralysis and ultimately death. This highly concentrated systemic insecticide was designed for season-long control of white grubs, and key Lepidopteran pests, including fall armyworms, cutworms, sod webworms, and more.
Durentis Insecticide unique ability to provide 28 days of protection and control with one easy application makes it ideal for professionals and landscapers who want results they can count on. With no signal word on the label, Durentis offers a favorable safety profile for applicators, making it ideal for use in residential lawns, golf courses, sports fields, and commercial landscapes.
Tools Needed
You will need a boom sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Durentis Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turf, apply 0.016 to 0.29 fl. oz. of Durentis Insecticide per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. depending on the pest. For broader applications on turf, use 0.68 to 6.68 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water per acre. To make foliar applications in outdoor landscapes and interiorscapes, use 0.7, 5.3, or 12.8 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake well until mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure even coverage across the entire turf area. For ornamentals, spray the surrounding soil and entire foliage, including the top and bottom of leaves until wet. For soil pests like grubs, irrigate with water immediately after application.
Where to Use
Durentis Insecticide can be applied in or on golf courses; sports and recreation turf; lawns and landscaped areas on and around residential, commercial and institutional properties and interior plantscapes. Commercial ornamental nurseries and greenhouses; and commercial sod farms may also be treated.
When to Use
Time applications to the most susceptible insect pest stage, typically at egg lay, egg hatch and/or newly hatched larvae, before populations reach damaging levels.
Avoid applications when rainfall is expected to occur within the next 48 hours of application.
