Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait
Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait
Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is an excellent ant bait granule that targets various ants species outdoors before they can come indoors with its long 90 day residual.
Worker ants deliver a lethal dose of this product to the rest of the colony, killing both the ants you witness and those you in hard-to-reach areas. Since Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait contains three active ingredients it will ensure effective ant control and prevent new ant mounds due to the included insect growth regulator.
Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait continuously strives to control ants and reduce ant mounds for an entire season with one simple application.
Tools Needed
Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait can be applied directly from the product container or with a push spreader.
If you do not wish to use pour from the product container on ant mounds then you will need to use a chemical measuring tool.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For broadcast applications, use 0.5 oz. of Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait per 1,000 sq. ft. or 1.5 lbs. of product per acre. To treat individual ant mounds, apply 4 level tablespoons of product per mound. Do not exceed a total of 6 lbs. of product per acre per calendar year. Up to 4 applications of this product may be applied per year.
- Step 2: Calibrate your spreader to deliver the proper amount of Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait needed for the application. Whether you are applying this product directly from the container or with a type of tool you will need to wear a pair of gloves.
- Step 3: Spread the Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait across your treated area until evenly covered for broadcast applications. When treating individual ant mounds you will need to distribute the product uniformly around the mound, but do not disturb the mound or apply to the top of it. Retreat after 14 days if needed.
Where to Use
Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait can be used on lawns, recreational areas, golf courses and other non-crop/non-grazed areas.

Apply Doxem Plus Fire Ant Bait at the first sign of ant activity. Applications may be made at any time of the day, but are more effective when ants are actively foraging, usually when the soil surface temperature is above 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
