Dithane M-45 Fungicide, manufactured by Southern Ag, will help prevent many common diseases such as Leaf Spot and Blight on specific labeled crops.

Formulated with the active ingredient Mancozeb, Dithane M-45 Fungicide is a broad spectrum treatment for many different vegetables and ornamentals that will help control listed diseases when the threat for the labeled disease is likely.

Dithane M-45 Fungicide may be used alone or in combination with other registered fungicides as a maintenance spray.

To use Dithane M-45 Fungicide, you will need a handheld sprayer.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Dithane M-45 Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Every finished gallon will treat approximately 1,000 sq. ft.  For ornamentals, use 1 ½ teaspoons for every 1 gallon of water. For corn, use 1 ½ teaspoons per gallon. For cucumbers and melons use 2-3 teaspoons per gallon. For tomatoes, use 1 1/2-3 teaspoons per gallon west of the mississippi river or 1 ½-2 teaspoons per gallon east of the mississippi river. Refer to the label for minimum required wait time from last spray to harvest.
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the specified amount of Dithane M-45 Fungicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Maintain a consistent agitation until the product is fully dissolved with water and during the application process.
• Step 3: Thoroughly spray the area just to the point of runoff, including upper and lower surfaces of foliage.

Dithane M-45 Fungicide is a preventative solution and should be applied before signs of disease are present.

Safety Information

Dithane M-45 Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.

Do not allow people or pets to enter the applied area until 24 hours have passed after application.

Special Considerations

Dithane M-45 Fungicide is toxic to aquatic life. Do not not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters.
