DF 5000 Drain Gel was a drain cleaner product manufactured by J.I. Halcomb Mfg. The Drain treatment DF 5000 utilizes an super thick advanced blend of special bacteria cultures. DF 5000 has been discontinued and we currently sell Forid Drain Gel Cleaner as our custom blend drain fly killer alternative.

Tools needed:

There are no tools needed for applying DF 5000 Drain Gel.

How to use:

• Step 1: Prepare the drain for the application but running 1 to 2 gallons of warm water down the drain.
• Step 2: Apply 4 oz of DF 5000 around the lip of the drain so that the solution will run down the sides of the pipes.
• Step 3: Repeat application daily for 5 to 7 days and then every 1 to 2 weeks for ongoing maintenance..

Where to use:

DF 5000 Drain Gel is made to be used in sink drains in residential or commercial kitchens and bathrooms.

When to use:

DF 5000 Drain Gel can be used at any time to remove waste and sludge from slow drains, cracks, and crevices, and out from under heavy equipment. Apply at night or when you know the sink will not be used for about 8 hours, then rinse away in the morning or once the time has passed.

DF 5000 is safe to use around children and pets when used according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when using pesticides or cleaning products.

Special Considerations:

DF 5000 is not an insecticide, it is just a drain cleaner that removes the organic material that flies are attracted to. If there is a heavy infestation we recommend using a Pyrid insecticide to kill encountered flies directly.
