Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is a highly selective water dispersible granule herbicide that controls weeds before they overtake and cause damage to vegetable and tobacco crops.

Creates a soil barrier that shields crops from harmful germinating weeds like cheatgrass, bromes, and foxtail for up to 3 weeks.

Tools Needed

To apply Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide, you will need to use a spray rig or type of sprinkler irrigation system.

How to Use

Step 1: Determine how much Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together. For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general applications, use 8 lbs. of Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide in 10-50 gallons of water per acre. For preplant incorprated applications, use 2-4 lbs. of product in 10-50 gallons of water.
Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add in the proper amount of Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide, then pour in the remaining amount of water. Shake the spray tank until granules have dissolved.
Step 3: Spray Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide to the soil surface. After application, water the treated area in with sufficient amounts of water until the 2-4 inches top layer of soil is wet.

Where to Use

Apply Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide to the soil of certain nuts, small fruits, vegetables and tobacco.

When to Use

Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide should be used from fall to early spring when sites are free of weeds and when rainfall is expected within 24 hours of application if you plan on not watering it yourself.

On flat-planted or bedded crops apply before planting to well-worked soil that is dry enough to permit thorough incorporation to a depth of 1 to 2 inches.

Safety Information

Devrinol DF-XT Selective Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Crops are not to be grazed or harvested for food or feed purposes earlier than maturity.

Keep children and pets out of treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
