The D-19 Bladder for D-252 Diaphragm Pump is manufactured by Hypro and is a replacement part for the D-252 Hypro Diaphragm Pump, which is an essential part of our professional spraying rigs. The D-19 bladder works by separating the expanded water from air. This makes it so the water does not come into contact with the pump tank and it prevents corrosion by oxygen and rusting. It also increases the pump's lifespan by reducing the number of pump cycles.

Tools Needed

To install the D-19 Bladder for the D-252 Diaphragm Pump you will need an adjustable wrench for loosening/tightening and the D-252 Hypro Diaphragm Pump to access the diaphragm and mount on the bladder.

How to Use

Location of the Diaphragm Pump

  • Step 1: Make sure the D-252 Diaphragm pump is drained of all oil by removing the oil fill cap and turning the pump upside down as well as rotating the shaft until the oil is fully emptied out from the pump.
  • Step 2: Remove pump head bolts and heads from the Diaphragm pump and then remove the Diaphragm retaining nut, support washer and the old D-19 bladder.
  • Step 3: Turn the Crankshaft to bring the piston to its downstroke and seat the diaphragm into the sleeve groove. Install the new D-19 Bladder, then replace the retaining washer and retaining nut.
  • Step 4: Reinstall the pump heads and head bolts then reassemble and refill the crankcase with oil. Rotate the shaft to distribute the oil and fill it to the proper level. Test the pump to ensure it is working properly.
