D-Foam Insecticide
D-Foam Insecticide is a foaming aerosol that treats insects hiding in wall voids and damaged wood. It treats many insects and has a residual effect that controls for up to 8 weeks.
10/03/25
D-Foam Insecticide, manufactured by FMC, is a foaming insecticide that comes in a ready-to-use can. No measuring, mixing, or waiting around is required. D-Foam contains deltamethrin and can treat wood-eating pests like termites, ants, roaches, and wasps.
A single 17-ounce can of foam expands to a 60:1 ratio to cover hard-to-reach areas such as inside termite galleries, wall voids, floor joists, and more. What's best about it is that it has a residual control of up to 8 weeks.
Tools Needed
No tools are needed to operate the D-Foam, as it comes ready to use, but you may need a drill to drill holes in walls to inject the foam in certain areas.
How to Use
- Step 1: Inspect and note areas where insect activity is taking place or where termite infestations are present in voids and crevices.
- Step 2: If needed, drill holes into walls and voids roughly the size of a nail. Poke holes every 18 inches down a wall, 10 feet in each direction.
- Step 3: Shake the D-Foam, attach the applicator tip to the can, and inject the Foam, pressing for about 10 seconds to get sufficient foam into the void.
- Step 4: Apply the foam along cracks and crevices until every area is treated.
Where to Use
Use D-Foam Insecticide where you have termites, ants, or other wood-destroying insects. These can be in cracks and crevices along windows and doors, wall voids, crawl spaces, behind sheetrock, and other areas where there may be insect infestations.
When to Use
D-Foam Insecticide should be used as part of a termite treatment program or when there are insects hiding in voids that are hard to penetrate with other insecticides.
Safety Information
D-Foam Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.
Keep children and pets away from the treated area until the product has dried.
Special Considerations
D-Foam comes in a 17-ounce can with a plastic applicator straw attachment, making it easy to reach voids and galleries.

Keith's Pro Tips | "If you're using D-Foam to treat for termites, it would also be wise to pair foaming treatment with a premium termiticide that should be used to treat the soil (such as via trench method), as well as a termite bait system like Red Eye Termite Baiting Stations." |
Product Drawbacks | Should not be used alone to treat for termite infestations. Use along with termite bait stations and a termiticide concentrate for trench treatment. |
