D-Fense SC Insecticide, manufactured by Control Solutions Inc., is a synthetic pyrethroid formulated with the active ingredient Deltamethrin 4.75%, similar to the popular brand Suspend SC and is a great product to use for a quick knockdown and provides continuous control for up to 90 days while also being affordably priced.

This product is ideal for use on a wide range of surface areas, such as lawns and landscapes on residential and commercial properties. It is also safe to use indoors as a cracks and crevice treatment to reach insects like roaches and bed bugs.

D-Fense SC Insecticide is one of the most effective products to use, when combating the toughest insects, such as roaches and bed bugs.

Tools Needed

To apply D-Fense SC Insecticide, a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, skid sprayer is needed.

How to Use

Outdoor Cracks and Crevice

  • Step 1: Determine how much D-Fense SC Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Depending on the pests and indoor site, you will use 0.25 to 1.5 fl. oz. of D-Fense SC Insecticide per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Pest control outdoors as a perimeter spray, use 0.75 to 1.5 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates for certain sites.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of D-Fense SC Insecticide, then pour remaining half of water into the spray tank. Close the lid and shake until the solution is evenly mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the D-Fense SC Insecticide solution as a coarse spray on and around label approved areas. If necessary, reapplications can be made when 21 days have passed after application.

Where to Use

D-Fense SC Insecticide is ideal to use indoors as a cracks and crevice treatment in residential and commercial areas. It can be applied in kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, around baseboards, window frames, door frames, under appliances, behind cabinets, wall voids where plumbing enters, tufts and folds in furniture, box spring, and mattresses.

D-Fense SC Insecticide can be applied outdoors as a broadcast treatment and cracks and crevice treatment on lawns, turfs, ornamental flowerbeds, around window frames, door frames, under porches, crawl spaces, weep holes, and around the perimeter of residential areas and building structures. D-Fense SC Insecticide is safe to apply to painted, plastic and fabric surface areas.

When to Use

Apply D-Fense SC Insecticide in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours.

Do not apply this product more than once every 21 days.

Safety Information

D-Fense SC Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying D-Fense SC.

My Defense
I mainly use this product for when I see the first sign of cluster fly activity usually during September and spray the soffits of the house. Also when ants begin to show activity in late spring or beginning of summer, I use the product to spray around the foundation. It works wonders with systemic and lasting effect.

Great stuff
So far I haven’t ran across any bug that this won’t kill. I have found dead roaches, kadydids, flies, moths, etc. It even kills the Joro spiders that have been invading north Georgia and keeps new spiders from coming back and replacing their webs. I have been mixing it with a growth inhibitor and have been having excellent results.

Id give it 50 stars if I could! So much better than Spiderkill!
This is the absolute best for eliminating spiders. I used to use Spiderkill II around my boat dock and read the ingredients and realized they only use 1/2 of an ounce of deltamethrin, with the D-Fense I use 2 ounces on the first spray of the season and then 1 ounce for maintenance sprays just to keep the spiders away. Other docks are covered in spiders I have none!! Plus a gallon of D-Fense is equivalent to 256 gallons of Spiderkill if you use 1/2 ounce so your saving a ton of money, thats why i use the 2oz 1 oz method!
