D-Fense SC Insecticide
D-Fense SC Insecticide
D-Fense SC Insecticide is a professional-grade insecticide that provides total control of a wide variety of pests, such as fleas or cockroaches, immediately upon application and up to three months after treatment.
D-Fense SC Insecticide, manufactured by Control Solutions Inc., is a synthetic pyrethroid formulated with Deltamethrin 4.75%. Like the popular brand Suspend SC, it is a great product for a quick knockdown and provides continuous control for up to 90 days while also being affordable.
This product is ideal for use on many surface areas, such as lawns and landscapes on residential and commercial properties. It is also safe to use indoors as a cracks and crevice treatment to reach insects like roaches and bed bugs.
D-Fense SC Insecticide is one of the most effective products for combating the toughest insects, such as roaches and bed bugs.
Tools Needed
To apply D-Fense SC Insecticide, either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or skid sprayer is needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much D-Fense SC Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Depending on the pests and indoor site, you will use 0.25 to 1.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Pest control outdoors as a perimeter spray, use 0.75 to 1.5 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates for certain sites.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with water, add your measured amount of D-Fense SC, and then add water the rest of the way. Close the lid and shake until the solution is evenly mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the D-Fense SC Insecticide solution as a coarse spray on and around label-approved areas. If necessary, reapplications can be made 21 days after the initial application.
Where to Use
D-Fense SC Insecticide is ideal for indoor use as a cracks and crevice treatment in residential and commercial areas. It can be applied in kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, around baseboards, window frames, door frames, under appliances, behind cabinets, wall voids where plumbing enters, tufts and folds in furniture, box springs, and mattresses.
It can be applied outdoors as a broadcast treatment and cracks and crevice treatment on lawns, turfs, ornamental flowerbeds, around window frames and door frames, under porches, crawl spaces, weep holes, and around the perimeter of residential areas and building structures. It is safe to apply to painted, plastic, and fabric surface areas.
When to Use
Apply D-Fense SC Insecticide in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours.
Do not apply this product more than once every 21 days.
Safety Information
D-Fense SC Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying.
Do not allow people or pets to contact treated areas until the spray has dried.
Special Considerations
When using a handheld pump or backpack sprayer to apply D-Fense SC Insecticide, periodically shake the spray tank to keep the solution agitated, as it can clog the sprayer.

Q:I have used this product outdoors and it is fantastic. I am concerned using it indoors. I have 4 pets and currently live in an apartment. I just started to see a few bugs in the kitchen, so I really want to buy this again but am concerned about my pets and my safety. Any suggestions?7/1/21A:D-Fense SC is great for outdoors, and especially effective for spiders, but I have not used it indoors. However, I have been using Talstar P indoors for many years with no problems with my pets. You may want to consider that product indoors.
